This bloody cold - it's flattened me

Started with a cold over the weekend and work up today feeling properly unwell. Headache, sore throat, nose/sinuses blocked solid, cough like something from a consumption ward. Tested negative for Covid (though honestly I didn't feel this bad with Covid!)

Anyone else have it and want to share my misery? 😭😔

Yep I have it too. I’m 52 and I’ve never felt this ill with any cold before and also covid negative. I have been totally floored by this virus, whatever it is. I’m on day 4, have all the symptoms mentioned already, and thought I was starting feel a tiny bit better, but the shivers have started again and I can barely keep my eyes open. It’s getting very boring now…

Had it for a few weeks...the sinus was the worst and headaches....even cancelled a short trip to Riga as couldnt face being away and unwell.....at least i managed to change the flights with no penalties....but was looking forward to my annual solo trip abroad....now its next April..!

Update - just had 2 paracetamol and some Pringles and bizarrely feel loads better!

Felt a tiny bit better this morning and had to head out for an appointment. Just made it home and I'm back in bed - I'm so tired I crawled up the stairs. May have to give the pringles a try.

Also feel like I've bruised a rib from coughing so much! Tested again for Covid and I'm still neg so I just don't know!

Feeling awful again, I got into bed after I finished work and was shivering! Paracetamol is helping but wears off before it's time to take the next dose. Now coughing loads which is really hurting my head.

Still feeling like crap. Nose is constantly blocked solid and my throat is sore from coughing. I'm totally fed up 😭😭😭

I started with a headache and sore throat but it’s the horrendous cough that is the worst. I feel like I’ve broken a rib as I ache so much!
Finally gave in after a week of sleepless nights and sweats and phoned Dr. Have a course of antibiotics now as I have a chest infection.

Week 6 of it here. Also feel like a broke a rib. Doctor said it’s a pulled intercostal muscle from coughing, and can take 3-6 months to recover fully. Lovely.
Im now going to bed with 2 year old
most nights still to get as much rest as possible.

Work colleague had it last week and I started to feel crap Thursday afternoon.

So far I've got the sharp ear pains and sinus and cough issue.

I always end up with sinus issues with a cold bit this is something else

I only had covid around 5 weeks ago so I think my immune system must have been low and I've caught this bastard

Fizzy paracetamol and ibuprofen alternated every three hours and a steroid based nasal spray with Vicks in it is working a bit for me but still feel like absolute shit.

Going to be wearing a mask over to parents later as dad due a procedure next week so don't want to pass it on

It turns out mine was Covid! Feeling fine now thankfully. Hope everyone is on the mend soon.

I've been testing for Covid and been negative. I honestly didn't feel this bad with Covid! 😬😬😣
