I love a good does this look positive thread. I don't care if it's pregnancy test or covid.

Parking threads are always interesting as well!

Pets (Not spiders)

Coldymccold · 13/11/2022 17:51

I enjoy the ones that are light hearted and funny like worst holidays etc. Also like the reminiscing ones too.

BeverleyMacca16 · 13/11/2022 17:52

I really love the whats for dinner threads

Sparklingbrook · 13/11/2022 17:54

Oh dear sorry I don't like either of your favourites. Grin I can never see a line on a pregnancy test. Everyone's 'Congratulations' and 'my invisible line is now 3 years old' and I am Confused
Parking threads rarely have an interesting conclusion and go on forever while waiting to find out.

I like watching a TV show and everyone is commenting on the thread as it happens. The Olympic Opening Ceremony ones in 2012 were really fun, and the BGT ones were great too, nobody ever really liked any of the acts.

Waterfallgirl · 13/11/2022 17:55

The bargain ones, the Christmas ones, the style and beauty ones about dresses and shoes(I know that’s rather picky of me) and anything in ‘classics’ especially if they involve pets doing funny things.

Really? They are always a bit bonkers, and the answer is generally 'of course not'.

brighterthanthemoon · 13/11/2022 17:55

I like aibus where half the people think no and half the people thing yes. It's good to get the alternative perspective.

I think those ones are silly. If everyone says no but your leg is dangling off you should probably go.

FireworkFluster · 13/11/2022 17:56

I find the washing/hygiene threads exceptionally entertaining!

LBOCS2 · 13/11/2022 17:56

Or the alternative which is 'why are you asking the internet, you should DEFINITELY be in A&E, please come back later to let us know you're not dead, I hope you're on your way already'.

I like a parking thread, or a bargain thread.

TofuonToast · 13/11/2022 17:58

Crazy neighbour behaviour. Love it!

mothertrucking · 13/11/2022 17:58

I think I like the A&E ones because they inevitably get a bit heated. I don't take any joy in someone's misfortune to have to go to A&E either!!

AIBU is a crazy area, I read but rarely post!

FourTeaFallOut · 13/11/2022 17:59

I love a dramatic weather thread, especially if there's snow on the horizon and I feel the urge to hunt down a spade to put in the boot on the off chance.

NuffSaidSam · 13/11/2022 18:00

I like a moral dilemma one. Particularly when there is a range of responses. Makes you look at things from a different perspective.

I like baby names too. And the London ones, because I live in London but often things are recommended that I've never heard of/thought about/been to.

MissHavishamsMouldyOldCake · 13/11/2022 18:00

I like a good literary thread about boarding school books / Jane Austen etc.

I like a good shoes on/shoes off debate especially once all the class shade starts flying.

I used to enjoy the live X Factor threads. Were some very witty people on those. BOF was always a hoot

Love a good woo thread (can only read them in daylight hours tho)

No interest in 'can you see a line?' or 'that tosser from 61 is parked across my drive'.

ginslinger · 13/11/2022 18:01

I love the ones where the OP is being incredibly petty and threatening to go NC with relatives over some perceived slight and when everyone tells them they are being completely fucking unreasonable they get more and more wound up - just wonderful

cookiecreammmpie · 13/11/2022 18:03

Creepy mysterious ones like who is ringing my doorbell in the middle of the night type threads, even though half of them are probably bullshit. Ghost story ones. And ones where the OP is planning on asking someone out and there's a conclusion.

Notplayingball · 13/11/2022 18:04

One that doesn't go poof! Was just about to catch up on the Cocomelon one but it's been deleted!

What was up with that one? 🤔

No idea

Notsa · 13/11/2022 18:06

Ones that I can lose myself down a Wiki wormhole - unsolved mysteries, odd things, conspiracies

Also ones with lots of stories - worst wedding, Christmas fails etc

Sparklingbrook · 13/11/2022 18:06

TBF this week I like any thread not by a troll, or a Zombie thread resurrected by one.

MarieIVanArkleStinks · 13/11/2022 18:13

Plane threads
Wedding threads
Book threads
Christmas fridge
Another vote for crazy neighbour

However:

Cf threads often turn out to be creative writing exercises.
Dog threads are usually batshit.
SAHM vs. WOHM threads are a treadmill to nowhere.

As for 'AIBU to think ...?' You can think what you like! Fat lot anyone else can do about it.
