I’d be interested to know more about it and how it helps.

I meditate. I try to do it daily but have fallen out of the habit recently.

It’s helped me hugely with anxiety and depression, and has taught me how to turn off the constant noise in my head.

I don’t follow a guided meditation, I find a noise on YouTube, like white noise or similar, park my car somewhere quiet (I can’t do it at home as there’s too much going on), put a timer on for 20 minutes and focus on the sound. Thoughts come in, and when I notice them I let them go and focus on the noise again. At some point I start feeling floaty and detached - it’s a weird but lovely sensation - and sometimes see things (I have hypnogogic hallucinations, so I think it’s an extension of that). It sets me up for the day ahead, and the more disciplined I am about doing it the better I feel.

I haven’t tried chanting or tapping, but I know someone who swears tapping has changed her life - she went from barely being able to leave her house to having a job and meeting her now husband.

I meditate daily. Sometimes a guided one or sometimes in silence. I go to a weekly group and we do chant at the end of the sitting. I have done tapping before it really dies calm anxiety.

Yes, chanting in the car on the way to work, meditation when i can, struggle to get it into a daily routine because of DC. Tapping is really effective for reframing intrusive or distressing thoughts & anxiety. I don't use it so much now but found it useful a couple of years back during a messy divorce . There are guides on YouTube if you can't find a tapping circle locally

Interesting! I’ve tried the Paul McKenna guided meditations and the occasional YouTube one if I can’t sleep but I have never used them consistently. I’ve never done the tapping either but can see how it could distract you from negative thoughts.

Yep, I try and practice Nichiren Buddhism. It involves chanting twice a day. It sounds a bit daunting but can be very relaxing. I struggle to do it as much as I used to, having small DC doesn't help, but I'd really recommend it. The SGI UK website is a good place to start if you're interested in finding out more.

Yep the tapping thing was great for my daughter when she was nervous about going back to school after covid. I thought this was a good explanation for people who dont know it.. Boy George Tapping EFT technique

I use tapping a lot when in stressful situations (mainly the dentist for me) and it really does help calm me down. I think it's a distraction more than anything and something for me to concentrate on rather than the stressful situation.

I use to meditate religiously twice/three times a day. I would either just put on some serene music or listen to a guided meditation by Michael Sealey or Jason Stephenson on YouTube.

I've never tried tapping apart from when I'm getting stressed and I tap my 3rd eye chakra.

I've also delved into exploring the Akashic records. So interesting. I would strongly recommend that also.

I used to go to yoga classes and there was a meditation session at the end. I remember one day that I 'rose out of my body' and looked down on myself.
It was a strange experience.

No but I listen to “hypnosis” tracks on Spotify as I fall asleep at night through my air pods so DH doesn’t have to listen.

I use EFT - Energy Tapping on a regular basis as it helps me to feel calm, balanced and centred when faced with stressful situations or moments during my day. It also promotes good sleep patterns.
The outcome is so amazing, I have now trained as an EFT Practitioner and I help others to gain from this simple, proven and effective technique. I also use it as part of my Specialist Fertility Coaching business to help women handle a difficult fertility journey and I’m seeing amazing results.
