Bagged Sebo, great suction, seven years old. If it packed up tomorrow would buy another.

Don't like bagless hoovers, always need emptying as they hardly hold anything and too much faff with filters.

I agree with this. I’ve had mine fifteen years.

Sprig1 · 06/11/2022 15:19

Definitely Henry.

cowsaysmoo · 06/11/2022 15:21

Miele!

Glad to see tide turning against sharks marketing vs the reality. Nice design but piss poor performer, blocks regularly.

When my shark dies, or if I see a good offer on, my next one will be a miele cat and dog bagless.

SEBO . Ours is 22 years old and still as good as new.

I have a Samsung cordless. Its fantastic.

Also have a Samsung cordless. It's great- a million times better than the Dyson cordless.

Best vacuum cleaner I have ever had is a Sebo.

Love my sebo! Its lasted years.

TheDogsMother · 06/11/2022 15:35

Miele Cat and Dog. At least 15 years old and still going strong. I had two Dyson's and they weren't a patch on it.

ThirtyThreeTrees · 06/11/2022 15:53

No idea but there cannot be much worse than a Dyson Cordless. The biggest waste of money ever. Charge doesn't last long, fills very quickly, detests carpet and cannot cope with as little as one strand of long hair.

Nannewnannew · 06/11/2022 15:57

Another vote for Sebo, they are absolutely brilliant. Great suction, easy to use but only drawback is that they are heavy to carry up and down stairs, so I luckily have 2!

Keroppi · 06/11/2022 15:57

Henry do a cordless and stick hoover now! My 30 year old bagged panasonic has just died so my next purchase is either a cordless Henry or a Miele.

Thelnebriati · 06/11/2022 15:58

One from before 2014 when the EU reduced the amount of power they could use. Failing that, a Henry.

silverclock222 · 06/11/2022 16:05

Miele Cat & Dog - on my second one - wouldn't go past them now. After losing the first Miele after about 20 years I jumped on the Shark bandwagon. Lasted a week and gave it away and bought another Miele.

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 06/11/2022 16:13

I hated our shark, it was absolutely useless (no pets just normal dust /crumbs) we have a Henry now

Derrymum123 · 06/11/2022 16:26

Bosch Athlet. Just right for any job. Had one in a holiday cottage, came back home and ordered one online. Easy to use, charge, empty and it is lightweight.

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 06/11/2022 16:33

Miele Cat and Dog. I’ve had mine for at least 15 years and it’s still sucking away with gusto.

illiterato · 06/11/2022 22:13

Right- it’s a no to shark then. Might get a cat and dog Miele. I actually don’t mind my Dyson cordless but battery life too short to be an only hoover

allboysherebutme · 06/11/2022 22:32

G tech air ram platinum. X

I'm thinking of doing the same, I have a Sebo downstairs and two not very good hoovers upstairs so I spent yesterday looking at prices of a new Sebo to replace the two I don't really like.

I bought into the hype regarding Shark and Dyson. Both were useless 😒 I found neither to have great suction power and I felt I'd been duped into following a fad. Without a shadow of a doubt the best for reliability and suction is Henry imo.

Couldn’t agree more! As soon as my Shark dies, I’m buying a Henry.

The thing that puts me off Sebo is, due to Labradors, I empty my (shit) bagless vacuum probably 6-7 times or more a week. Even if the Sebo bags hold more I don't want to be buying, what looks like quite expensive, bags constantly. How long do the bags last, can they be reused?

Geranium1984 · 07/11/2022 15:36

Miele or Henry
I've learned you need a bag vacuum, all the bagless or cordless ones loose suction

gianfrancogorgonzola · 07/11/2022 15:38

Miele c3. Very good.

Hamsterdamn · 07/11/2022 15:39

Never, ever buy a Dyson.

Henry is great but then we don’t have stairs. To be honest a loop of sellotape on the back of my hand would be preferable to the beautiful but useless Dustin.

Hamsterdamn · 07/11/2022 15:40

*Dyson autocorrect, what the heck is a Dustin?
