Failed roadside test but passed police station test

Crashed car , no one else involved
Police arrive
Failed roadside alcohol test
Taken to station
Passed test

Is that it now ? No further Acton ? Get away Scott free ? Can continue driving ?

He failed the roadside test. I was wondering if insurance co would argue that to avoid paying out.

That's the end of it unless there is a charge of reckless driving. The police station test is the definitive one No charge re the DUI.

IME it's a shame that the police don't prioritise a swift blood test and facilitate drunk drivers to delay with a range of tactics. That said, people repeat behaviours and IME there is a next time, just hope no one gets hurt.

Have seen letters sent anonymously to insurers cause trouble even if no conviction.

If they were then I would be trying to get access restrictions on him taking them in the car, so no travelling with him
