People get called a troll on here very loosely mostly when they are saying something people don’t agree with.
I personally got accused of it when I was in fact genuinely posting for support. I suppose that’s the thing with sites like these. I think admin shouldn’t delete them though as they can be entertaining 😂

Now I'm wondering if a thread I've posted on recently is the 'water troll'. Oh well, I'll sit back and watch it for a bit. So far it hasn't gone off in the direction of conspiracy theories so hopefully it's legit.

Loved the one about the poster who had a next door frog farm/breeding centre. She/he complained about the frogs leaping about everywhere and didn’t want her cat to bring one in. So funny. Everyone was telling her to be kind to the frogs (as they’re so cute- me included!).

Made me chuckle imaging the little frogs boinging all over the place chirping over each other! 🐸 💕

They posted increasingly bizarre threads and in the early days, often involved a child being relegated to the boxroom. Other key features were a 13yr old girl described as lazy and with poor hygiene, stepchildren, a peculiar dp and excessive television watching.

Some of the threads are still out there. Really active 10-15yrs ago

I wish they weren't being deleted, I really enjoy them . So many of the threads on MN turn into nasty angry rants, but these ones do no harm to anyone. Long live the trolls!!
