Birmingham Christmas market - anyone been?

I'm thinking of going with Christmas obsessed DD as a surprise tomorrow. I know it only starts today but has anyone been in previous years?

I went in 2018 and agree with the comments about the repetitive stalls. There are about 6 different types of stall repeated over and over and it was horrifically crowded and expensive.

Well we've been and while it was nice enough, we were underwhelmed. There just wasn't much to see.

I didn't see a helter skelter, just a merry go round @BippityBopper. It was £4

@MerylSqueak I think the helter skelter is around Colmore row where there's a mini german market, so you might have missed it if you were more towards New St.
