Pop stars have 'riders'. .

"She also demandied food and other drinks, the book says. Sandwiches had to be freshly prepared as Truss would reject any plastic-packed premade varieties.
For lunch she insisted on bagels or sushi, Cole and Heale write, but there was to be “absolutely no mayonnaise on anything, ever”, and a former staffer told them she would not accept fruit for breakfast. For overnight stays, a bottle of sauvignon blanc had to be provided in the fridge, the book claims"

Personally - a nice Merlot, flat white coffee machine and Jaffa cakes. That would be enough. But what would you need?

What a twat. I’d love to see some of the others though.

Dogsgottabone · 30/10/2022 17:11

A soda stream for sparkling water, good cabernet sauvignon nothing over 13.5% or dry French Rose in the summer.

Sushi or salad for lunch.

Dark chocolate.

LaQuern · 30/10/2022 17:12

KFC and a bottle of Sancerre

AnApparitionQuipped · 30/10/2022 17:13

Coronation chicken sandwiches, Earl Grey tea and Cava in the fridge.

HermioneWeasley · 30/10/2022 17:14

loose leaf green tea
chateaubriand
chocolate lava cake

agree with her about mayonnaise- ‘tis the devil’s work

AuntieMarys · 30/10/2022 17:14

Cheese
More cheese
Malbec

ifonly4 · 30/10/2022 17:15

Her choice actually sounds very nice and I wouldn't complain if someone put any of them in front of me, but I certainly wouldn't be demanding. Thinking about it, I wouldn't say no to a biscuit or cake with the coffee!

Thesearmsofmine · 30/10/2022 17:15

Yorkshire tea, croissants for breakfast, dark chocolate digestives

Pixiedust1234 · 30/10/2022 17:16

Meh. Sounds sensible actually. If I go anywhere, even to the beach, i want a sandwich and a cup of tea. Kids want hot chocolate and a toasted teacake. Truss actually sounds normal (and did I just say that? Blush)

Narwhaleahoy · 30/10/2022 17:16

Crisps
Cheese
Shiraz

OneFrenchEgg · 30/10/2022 17:16

Frascati and salted popcorn, maybe some hummus and plain crisps, a trashy magazine.

cakeorwine · 30/10/2022 17:17

Cheese. How could I forget cheese?
Brie. And grapes.

Tea with skimmed milk
Chocolate digestives
Breakfast...bacon, eggs, sausage, black pudding, beans, toast and marmalade
(Though normally breakfast is toast and marmalade at home - or extra if OH can be bothered making it (he does most of the cooking))

heldinadream · 30/10/2022 17:21

Good gluten free scones and French apricot jam and organic clotted cream. Boxes of ripe cherries.

Gin and tonic, not too fancy though some of it tastes like paint stripper.

Mayo can fuck off. This may be the only thing I ever share an opinion with La Truss on.

JennyForeigner · 30/10/2022 17:24

A hatred of mayo is the only moment of sympathy I will ever share with the awful Truss.

I could go for a freshly made margarita with a salt rim, rider-wise. Or a bottle of anything red and a whole Stilton. A WHOLE one.

Chikapu · 30/10/2022 17:24

T2 French Earl Grey tea, 'posh' sea salted crisps and ginger biscuits.

PumpkinDog · 30/10/2022 17:27

Earl grey tea. Bagels with mozzarella, tomatoes, basil and homemade pesto. Elderflower cordial.

pastabest · 30/10/2022 17:31

A cold bottle of vouvray

a salmon sandwich made on really good quality malted bread, with thick cuts of smoked salmon, that fancy cream cheese that's salted and extra thick, mixed in with a little lemon juice and some capers.

kitkat chunkys

Nescafé Azera coffee - decaf and Americano

Howmanysleepsnow · 30/10/2022 17:38

All the pre made supermarket sandwiches.
Diet Coke.
champagne, Sancerre or the £3.40 three mills white wine from Asda.
A tub a of cheap chocolates so I can have one or two when I need a quick pick up.
A cat (because DH doesn’t like them so I can’t have one at home)

CuriousEats · 30/10/2022 17:45

Ooh here we go...
Swedish söderte or Ringtons Earl Grey
Organic semi skimmed milk
No sea food (looks cool but cant bear the taste)
Côte de Provence rose or south of France wines
(I have a list of acceptable ones!)
Apart from that, anything goes. I love rustic food.

MarshaBradyo · 30/10/2022 17:50

Sashimi, decaf macchiato, sparkling water, maybe a drink if night time

Travelling and low carb is quite hard so I’d take the expensive low carb stuff so I didn’t blow out weight wise

JosephFrancis · 30/10/2022 17:52

Bar of cadburys fruit and nut
Bottle of Prosecco
Raspberry cordial
Cheese oatcakes and sweet chilli dip.

cobblers123 · 30/10/2022 17:57

Egg and cress sandwiches, bottle of Cremant, bottle of coke and pack of four custard tarts. Nice loose leaf tea with a big teapot. Pack of crumpets and west country butter.

Chewbecca · 30/10/2022 18:01

Can I just have a personal chef to travel with me and make whatever tickles my fancy on the day?
