Where would it stop, BST or GMT ? And what would be the advantages/disadvantages ?
Every year this gets moaned about but nothing happens, a bit like the 6 week school holiday.

Heres how if affects me in mid scotland (bearing in mind that it doesn't get fully dark til about 20 minutes before/after official sunrise/sunset)

couple of days ago BST sunrise 8.30 sunset 17.30
now GMT sunrise 7.30 sunset 16.30

At Christmas it would be BST sunrise 9.45 sunset 16.30
compared with GMT sunrise 8.45 and sunset 15.30
to be honest, both of these are pretty horrible

summer would be approximately BST sunrise 4 sunset 22.30
or GMT sunrise 3 sunset 9.30

I suppose overall I prefer BST in the summer as it does give me a bit more daylight when I would be using it in the late evenings, what use is daylight at 3 am to me? But there is advantages and disadvantages in both. I think ideally I need to live closer to the equator Grin
