Is anyone else slightly intrigued by Harry’s new book?

I wonder what he has said. Although I feel he is pushing himself even further away from his family.

I feel a bit sorry for him. Born into a bonkers family, stalked and harassed by the press from birth, lost his mum very young, spent his entire life being told he wasn’t as important as his brother, mental health problems, finally found love, then had to choose between wife’s and child’s happiness and his own home country / identity. Needs lifelong constant security because of dangerous nutters. Overseas and isolated, struggling to afford to maintain security&lifestyle at usual level, accepts book deal from cynical publisher and I’ll bet anything the publisher / ghost writer led him down the path most likely to cause drama and headlines.

Ugh. No winners here except the publisher.

asblindasabat · 27/10/2022 23:33

I’ve read reports that he may actually reveal the name of the RF member who allegedly made the comment about Archie’s skin colour in the book.

It is going to be a whole lot of wallowing, some big reveals about something that was said/implied without actually naming the person he is accusing and how he is now so happy.

I imagine it will be as boring as watching paint dry. You would need to pay me to read it.

I don't believe you for one second.

If someone truly had no interest in Harry, you would do as I do with plenty of threads on MN - scroll on by until something interested me enough to click on it.

I'm intrigued in the same way rubber neckers are intrigued by a car crash. Wont be buying it though.

Yes, this is me too!

Wisteriaroundthedoor · 27/10/2022 23:40

I’m curious for the lowlights, the shit he throws, but I’d not lower myself to buy it and reward him with hard cash for it.

for someone who wanted to stay out the limelight and have a private life, he’s sure making a lot of money off his title and trash talking his family.

Toomuchschool · 27/10/2022 23:45

No.
I don’t think he’s very bright and feel he’s allowing himself to be manipulated.
I hope after this final attempt to monetise his royal status he sinks into obscurity and finds peace with his young family.

Which part don't you believe?

I didn't state a level of interest, but for the record, my interest extends as far as news headlines, and occasional MN threads when bored.

I can confidently swear on my favourite sons life (and I don't have a spare) I will not purchase, accept a copy of or read his book!

WorrieaboutFIL · 27/10/2022 23:46

It looks like it could be an interesting insight into the RF. I like the title , playing in the whole 'heir and a spare' idea. Sounds like it might cover what it is like to the the 'spare' with clear role/purpose.

asblindasabat · 27/10/2022 23:48

Does he even have any contact with his father and brother?

I think he’d have been very close to Diana if she was still alive

He's a spoilt brat and always has been, it was just very successfully covered up by the palace until his equally as awful wife came along. Im curious to know what he has to say but i most definitely won't be buying it and putting money in his pockets! Anyone who can publicly humiliate their own family isn't a decent person imo.

BitOutOfPractice · 27/10/2022 23:58

Not even a teeny tiny bit.

Lulibee · 28/10/2022 00:01

Nope. I won’t be lining his pockets. I’d rather donate the money to someone in need.

whatsthestory123 · 28/10/2022 02:31

i will just read the daily mail online im sure they will cover it

TheHouseonHauntedHill · 28/10/2022 06:39

Yes, I'm interested in it , apparently the ghost writer is amazing.

I certainly won't buy it though, but I'm interested to see what comes out.

TheHouseonHauntedHill · 28/10/2022 06:44

@bloodyplanes

How odd!

How do you think he felt when both his parent's interviews came out? Detailing how Charles shouldn't be king, the affairs? Do you think that made him feel humiliated?
He is only following in his parents foodtseps

Inasec24 · 28/10/2022 06:44

Yes I am actually, will give it a read. When is it out?

Blip · 28/10/2022 06:45

I get less and less interested in "just call me Harry" as time goes on.

bloodyplanes · 28/10/2022 06:47

@TheHouseonHauntedHill both parents behaved terribly, and Harry clearly learnt no lessons from their behaviour!

RambamThankyouMam · 28/10/2022 06:51

Meghan has done such a Wallis on him!

mrsmarmalade12 · 28/10/2022 06:54

I'm interested out of curiosity but don't want to buy and line his pockets in the same way. I'll probably just read the daily Mail they'll do the highlights! I ever so slightly wonder if he agreed to it and then regretted it but had gone too far to say no.

Kabbalah · 28/10/2022 06:56

No, not in the slightest.

LynetteScavo · 28/10/2022 06:57

Am i curious? Yes

Do I think he's a tool? Yes

Do I feel sorry for him? Yes

Will I buy the book? No

If I was really bored and there was a copy lying around I might read it, but I'll just get the highlights that will be splashed around.

Tontostitis · 28/10/2022 06:58

No ill wait till its discounted to the £1 shop or read highlights online. £28 to listen to potentially just read privileged whining doesn't make sense.

orangeisthenewpuce · 28/10/2022 07:10

It in the slightest. It will be full of woe is me and I presume will have the stamp of his wife all over it. Harry is whipped.

The highlights in the Daily Mail (who's pockets you'd rather line) will be sensationalist and twisted reporting. It's going to be huge and unfortunately, the DM will dine out on made up stories from a 'trusted source' on what's in it.
