I'll start. I'd do medicine and become a coroner

Florist

Political journalist, a bit like Chris Mason or Beth Rigby.

Like others, I’d also love to do something creative and practical, like furniture, art or ceramics restoration.

Dermatologist so I could spend all day squeezing spots, boils, cysts, blackheads etc

Also florist. I'm beginning to train to be one now!

I work for the NHS in intensive care, I wouldn’t want to do anything else. Shift work is the only negative.

Midwife or alternatively something techy like in IT or software engineering

There’s a real misconception about Accountants on this thread…it comes with long hours and many many meetings per day.
I think what you’re all craving is a bookkeeping role in a family business 😂

I’m another one who’d love to be skilled in a trade that would see me on the repair shop. It must be so soothing and satisfying enjoying the challenge and seeing the results!

Oh god, I said accountant. I’d want something where you can hide a bit, coast a bit. It doesn’t sound like it, urgh. So maybe bookkeeping for the family business. But no promotion to prime minister, please.

Cinematographer, TV producer, poet/writer, florist. Probably only last one could still be a viable option.

Dentist. Good money, never out of work, helps people and better hours than doctors.

This is great for ideas, I'm almost done with my 1st choice loved my career to date, but need something less stressful to suit me.

Midwife here, too, or speech and language therapist, both of which I haven’t entirely ruled out for a second career (but think I’m probably dreaming 😔).
