What would you do - honest opinions

You're walking through town alone after dark - it's relatively well lit but not a particularly safe area - lots of low level crime, drinking etc.

You see a lone Asian man of around 30 being intimidated and verbally harassed by around 5 youths on bikes.

As a lone woman - would you intervene or would you walk past?

@SummerBluez I would have taken a film of what was happening. But no intervening would NOT have been appropriate.

Back to your op, that was pretty similar to what happened to me. A guy was pushing a woman about, I stood up for her (I was young and stupid and thought I was invincible) for him to turn on me, then she did too.

I wouldn’t even risk walking past!!! I would turn away, hide and call the police. And I want my DH to do exactly the same.

Intervene - I have a habit of acting first and thinking later. It's not what I'd necessarily advise someone else to do mind

I've intervened in a similar situation and would do again.

Round here I'd probably intervene (in the manner of shouting at them from afar); in the locality you describe, probably not.

I would intervene. I'm a little old lady now and sometimes that helps.

Similar incident happened to me recently. I intervened, perpetrator then went for me. Victim then came to my defence, along with other men. Only verbal threats were made.

In future, I’ll call the police/security.
