And will this finally rid of us Jacob Rees Mogg and his ilk?

Harry Cole at mrharrycole
The King has been pleased to approve the appointment of the Rt Hon Nadhim Zahawi MP as Minister without Portfolio.

Usually given to the Party Chairman.... ..

xalo · 25/10/2022 16:38

@AutumnCrow agree re shouting!

RedToothBrush · 25/10/2022 16:39

Theeyeballsinthesky · 25/10/2022 16:36

God he’s not leaving that utter arse coffey at health surely

mind you I get the distinct impression sunak doesn’t give af about health and social care

Only one department he'd shit on more? Education?

RedToothBrush · 25/10/2022 16:40

Steve Barclay in

You may remember him from such departments as the Brexit department...

Do you reckon.. out of all sides he did the NI raise, other parties said no then Truss

TokyoSushi · 25/10/2022 16:41

This is very 'getting the band back together'

And very male...

MarshaBradyo · 25/10/2022 16:41

Javid needs something Zahawi maybe

Mordaunt something that suits her so it’s not nearly all men

TokyoSushi · 25/10/2022 16:42

Oh Zahawi Party Chair now.

RedToothBrush · 25/10/2022 16:44

Dowden confirmed to run Cabinet Office as Chancellor to the Duchy of Lancaster.

Fushiadreams · 25/10/2022 16:45

Yes nothing in Braverman yet,,,

Fushiadreams · 25/10/2022 16:45

And Coffey in there too..

FixundFoxi · 25/10/2022 16:45

Gove back to level up Tunbridge Wells.
Those fuckers in Preston have had it too easy for too long !
This cabinet looks suspiciously like Boris's cabinet.
2nd time lucky I guess?
It's brilliant we have finally got the brand new government we need and can move on with a fresh start from the previous failed governments of old who got us into this mess.
I welcome this new exciting influx on bright young talent untarnished by previous failures, such as... checks notes... Raab, Gove, Cleverly, Dowden, Williamson, Braverman ...

Theeyeballsinthesky · 25/10/2022 16:46

@MarshaBradyo i don’t think he has any interest in it, ideas about it or any understanding of how to tackle the multiple problems it faces

It’s good to know he’d keep the NI rise but It’s about so much more than that particular ly when it comes to social care

Coffey hasn’t a clue

RedToothBrush · 25/10/2022 16:46

Still in no 10:
Gove, Stride, Keegan, Coffey, Barclay, Shapps, Braverman

titchy · 25/10/2022 16:48

RedToothBrush · 25/10/2022 16:46

Still in no 10:
Gove, Stride, Keegan, Coffey, Barclay, Shapps, Braverman

Got a list of what's left? Health, Education, Home, Culture...?

FixundFoxi · 25/10/2022 16:48

These rumours and appointments show the hand of a political lightweight of a PM with no significant presence in the party. He hasn’t brought anyone with him because he hasn’t spent long enough as an MP to build alliances, he just focused on Number One and grifted his way to the top. More evidence that Sunak is all flash and no substance

TokyoSushi · 25/10/2022 16:49

I think Mordaunt & Javid are the only two that I expected but haven't seen. I expect Shapps will move somewhere, likely business.

WroteThisSongForYou · 25/10/2022 16:50

It is all depressingly male so far

Yes agree, a bit like a cabinet made up of somebody else's friends.

RedToothBrush · 25/10/2022 16:50

V odd that we have had all the great offices of state announced except Home...

Has the new government of integrity's plan to reappoint Suella Braverman hit some Probity and Ethics troubl e?

Croque · 25/10/2022 16:51

What a nightmare: pretending to be enthusiastic about having Braverman and Mordaunt in your inner circle when you know they shouldn't be there.

Yes I’m surprised we haven’t seen penny too. ..

RedToothBrush · 25/10/2022 16:52
