Please talk me through selling on Vinted

I've downloaded the app and signed up, just hesitant as I don't want to cock up and end up out of pocket or messing things up with a buyer. I've read the info on postage but seen listings with no postage cost so I'm confused.

No issues with describing stuff and uploading photos - I've sold quite a lot on eBay but want to save on fees.

You can't on Vinted. They don't offer the Evri QR code option so you have to print the label. For future reference, Yodel and InPost options are printer-free as they give you a code to scan.

What are inpost lockers, please? I am interested in selling on Vinted but put off by the complicated postage options. I live in a very rural area so have no idea about options outside of Royal Mail.

80% of the time it’s via the InPost lockers
I wish my buyers would pick that instead of Evri… I’ve got lockers at the end of my road it would be so much easier lol.

Can you offer a discount if they use your preferred delivery?

Same here. I can only really do Royal Mail as everything else is so far away, and I don't leave the countryside often (I'm a bumpkin). I hope this doesn't put people off (the RM option, not me being a bumpkin); and also hope, after reading post above, that I dont get underpaid for postage!

Generally it will update itself at some point. If not, once it’s been 48 hours since you downloaded the shipping info they will send you a reminder to ship ASAP, and at that point you can click “mark as shipped” and the tracking will feed through.

The Vinted help / chat will also help you add tracking but only once it’s been 48 hours.

I've only bought so far, but when I have the more experienced sellers send me a message, usually with photo of postage receipt, when they have sent the item.
I appreciate this, because I know it takes a while to be officially marked as sent, and I like to know what's happening!

Actually @Wishyfishy advice was very helpful. I tried the lockers and they worked! Tried it with a parcel on Tuesday. They don’t show on the evri search but it did work. So thank you Wishy you’ve saved me an annoying walk!

This is a very helpful thread. I have two massive boxes of stuff to sell after a good wardrobe clearout.

One question, are you penalised/avoided by buyers if you've not used Vinted before, and have no profile? I have thousands of reviews on eBay, but am a Vinted virgin.

I sold my first item within a day. Received payment same day as buyer confirmed receipt although Vinted say it can take four working days. The money went straight into the bank account details I gave when I set up my profile. Annoyingly I gave the buyer a good review quickly, but they haven't reviewed me. She had no reviews and neither did I. I still don't!

Actually I've just checked and I have an auto review from Vinted, which is good.
