Dead man's shoes
That Clint Eastwood film - gran Torino?
Requiem for a dream
The diving bell and the butterfly

Then watching with my child, the series of films - a dogs purpose and a dogs journey! Oh my! 😭

Ironmanrocks · 20/10/2022 22:29

Oh and it's a wonderful life! I cry when it starts these days! 😂

AnnapurnaSanctuary · 20/10/2022 22:29

Remains of the Day. All that love and it was just the wrong time for them 😢

Also Manchester by the Sea - devastating.

murasaki · 20/10/2022 22:30

Watership Down always has me sniffling.

Beautifulsunflowers · 20/10/2022 22:31

The Snowman. From when they begin to fly..
Oh but the next morning when he wakes up and rushes downstairs to find... 😢 Breaks my heart every single time.

Righthandcider · 20/10/2022 22:35

Truly Madly Deeply. I have watched it many times and it's always a proper snotty sob-fest.

LadyApplejack · 20/10/2022 22:35

Meet Joe Black and Legends of the Fall are both emotional rollercoasters!

Bit embarrassing, but Homeward Bound. Full on ugly cry for a large proportion of that film 😂

This is mine too. The bit at the end where the other kids reunite with their animals and Peter thinks Shadow isn't coming back. 'He was just too old' 😭

Actually the entire film is a complete emotional rollercoaster. I still have the VCR knocking around somewhere....

wahwahwah2022 · 20/10/2022 22:35

A Walk to Remember, every time!

giantwaterbottle · 20/10/2022 22:36

Bridge to Terabithia. Finding a Friend for the end of the world. Both made me ugly cry.

Beaches
War horse
And omg Brokeback mountain. Made my dd cry and she NEVER crys!

50pointstogryffindor · 20/10/2022 22:39

Lion always makes me cry

belimoo · 20/10/2022 22:39

Another vote for Life Is Beautiful here. Such a wonderful film and tale of two halves.

Naliny · 20/10/2022 22:40

Café de Flore touched me like no other film ever did.

Never Let Me Go probably upset and disturbed me the most.

FrogsHiccups · 20/10/2022 22:05

"He was old. It was too far. He was just too old." 😭

Molehillfromamountain · 20/10/2022 22:42

Manchester by the sea 😭

BuryingAcorns · 20/10/2022 22:42

Lion. I don't remember ever crying so much at a filme from start to finish. I drenched an entire packet of hankerchiefs.

The beginning of Up.

Deguster · 20/10/2022 22:43

OMG Manchester by the Sea absolutely broke me.

The Father was a bit close to the bone for me. I alternated between big snotty sobs and marveling at Anthony Hopkins’ astonishing, devastating performance.

I saw The Piano at the cinema with DSis. Cried throughout. When Adrien Brody staggered out of the ghetto towards the Allies, starved and flea-bitten, I honestly thought I’d blow a sinus. My DSis loudly says “ooh Adrien yes I still fucking would” and now the film is ruined!

Milliesmummy92 · 20/10/2022 22:43

Me before you- I think it's because I read the book first and it's the only ever book that's made me cry so when I watched the film I knew what was coming so every nice part I was crying as well 😂

Deguster · 20/10/2022 22:44

Gah, the Pianist!

FeralWitch · 20/10/2022 22:45

Il Postino. Then DH told me the backstory and I cried even more.

Arrival.

Pan’s Labyrinth.

Million Dollar Baby. Gutting.

Mamoun · 20/10/2022 22:46

Manchester by the sea. It was slightly embarrassing as I watched it with someone who at the time was a brand new flatmate and she didn't shed a tear while I was bawling.

Forrest Gump - when Jenny dies and he raises his son.
