Agree about Tony Hart. His was the sort of gentle, unassuming persona you just wouldn't get fronting TV these days, where sadly a more confrontational culture/personality type took over and got set in its rot.
Plus he was a really, really talented artist, and could turn out brilliant work at such amazing speed: an enviable gift. It takes me hours to churn out a remotely passable drawing.
I just can't imagine anything untoward coming out about him. Looking back at Rolf, he was an equally talented but his old song 'Jake the Peg' (and that wasn't the only one) should have been the first warning klaxon ...
