Noel Fielding

I’ve met Noel Fielding and he hands down is one of the nicest people I have ever met - so friendly and had a proper giggle with me and my friends.

Humphrey Lyttelton

Been listening to a lot of old ISIHAC, and the crotchety old jazz legend is just.... brilliant. I'd be devastated to hear anything bad about him.

He was truly great and he helped to establish the National Jazz Centre now in Southend that has his desk. He even turned down 2 honours such was his probity.

He twice refused state honours which were offered to him. One occasion was in 1976, and in 1994 he declined the knighthood offered by Downing Street: his son Stephen later wrote that "Accepting it was never an option but he still felt sick to the stomach. He kept it from all of us, especially my mother who would have exerted a lot of pressure on him to accept, seeing it as recognition for all his work

I can vouch for Toby Jones and David Attenborough, both lovely in real life (‘real’ real life, ie not just when they’re on show)

Mine are

Nigella Lawson
Lauren Laverne
Mark Radcliffe
Stuart Maconie

just because it would make me so sad that they were keeping up such a pretence of being a lovely warm person

Tom and Giovanna Fletcher

I’ve let Tom a few times but never met Gi. Tom was a bit standoffish the few times I met him, but I do know a few people who’ve met Gi who said her niceness is a complete act (but can’t vouch for that myself)

I’ve met all of McFly a few times and both Danny and Harry were by far the nicest and most fun.

I thought there were rumours about Tom Hanks being involved in the Hollywood sex scandal ring? Ricky Gervais Jones at the awards and panning in on him? Hazy on the memory /details but swear I've heard it a few times.

Absolutely. We had quite a few "slebs", most of whom really you didn't notice.
liam, OTOH, ABSOLUTELY OOZED charisma and "I'm famous" from every pore, even though making no attempt whatever to be recognised in the very fuddy-duddy old school hotel I worked in.

I can also concur that Liam Gallagher is a sweetheart. He visits Ireland (Mayo) regularly and always goes for a few pints in the same local pub. There are pictures of him on the walls having the craic with the locals and they all love him!

Alexander Armstrong is the most vile individual, I worked for a company who supplied something to a house he bought, it was delayed. He phoned me a shouted and swore and was horrible. Uma thurman was delightful, as was John Galliano.

I don't know why, but I wasn't remotely surprised at this.

He always sets my Git-O-Meter whizzing.

There was thread on here not long ago that mentioned David Jason, Philip Schofield and David Walliams for alleged inappropriate behaviour 😔 the former was a surprise, but not the latter two weren't.

Am surprised no one has mentioned Jamie Dornan. He comes across as such a nice bloke. So funny and self deprecating. And really devoted to his wife and family. I would be really sad if he wasn't.

John Simpson is up there with David Attenborough in the God level IMO. I would love to meet him.

Michael Sheen - he can not be anything other than how he comes across.

Trinity65 I have met and served Toyah Wilcox several times (lives near me) she is lovely and her husband is lovelier (very quiet unassuming). Know someone who worked with young children and Justin Fletcher did a visit said he was all smiles when cameras on but horrible and somewhat creepy when off. TBH he always gave me the creeps before I knew this as did Jimmy Saville and look how he turned out 😕

I always liked him before and thought he was probably nice, utter prick

I used to work for a premiership rugby team, can confirm Nigel Owens is a delight. Polite and humble.

Some of my examples are dead. However:

Doris Day (need I say more)?
Diana Rigg (exuded warmth and charisma)
Rachael Stirling (Rigg's daughter. Very like her mum)
Mick Fleetwood (happiest drummer in the world. Even without the coke looks like he's having a blast)
Victor Garber
Rik Mayall
Robert Englund
Terence Stamp
Patrick Swayze
Both the 'Julies'
Laura Kennedy (Trott)
Christian Lorenz, AKA 'Flake'

And a big +1 for Korn (especially Jonathan's kilt)

My ex's sister was a dancer working in TV back in the day and trained at Italia Conti. She was a friend of Debbie McGee and said both she and Paul Daniels were lovely people.

She also mentioned Rolf Harris and his reputation with those who worked closely with him. Sadly I was not surprised.
