Help - Vinted In-Post do I really NOT need to print label?

This is my first sale on Vinted using 'InPost'
The instructions say:
"get your shipping label" - Yes, they have sent electronically, but it has no address printed on it, just a QR code
then
"download the QR code to your phone - scan the QR code at the locker no need to print it"

I'm confused - is this QR code, really the only shipping label?

Want to get it right & can't find any more help on the app..... would appreciate some reassurance.

Yes that's right!!!
I normally print a label at home and then post via locker. However, a couple of weeks ago I received just a QR code and it said no need to print a label.
I was very mithered but eventually I posted it and the buyer received it!!
I must be really thick as I'm not sure how it worked.

I get that the carrier knows which locker to get it from. But how it gets delivered to a house/ store or another locker without there being a name or address on it baffles me!!!

Yes, the courier will stick a label on the parcel for you.

I would recommend putting a piece of paper inside the parcel with your vinted username incase they cock up, which happens a lot with the lockers.
I would also write your address on the back of the parcel as a return address, for extra security.

I have turned off inpost lockers because there have been a lot of problems with them lately. I only sell via Evri. I turned off Royal Mail because I end up losing money.

I think the courier prints the label when they collect it from the locker.

I'm going to use the lockers for the first time today because I currently have no printer, and am also very anxious about my parcel getting mixed up with someone else's and having the wrong labels applied to it!

Oh I'm SO glad to have seen this thread!! Wanted to use vinted in the past but haven't as I don't have access to a printer. This may be my answer!

HunterHearstHelmsley · 17/10/2022 10:03

It stressed me out the first time I did it too. I used the lockers and couldn't quite get my head around how they would know which parcel was mine. Bloody love it now. Don't have to speak to anyone or anything 😆

TheJoyOfCats · 17/10/2022 10:51

woo! just dropped it off... (after wandering around Lidil like a loon looking for lockers only to find I'd walked right past them on way in).

now lets hope it gets there & the buyer on vinted is happy with the purchase

Ha ha I was the same. Someone bought an item to be posted with in-post, I couldn't fathom how it was going to work! Was a tad anxious the whole time it was in transit.

Georgeskitchen · 17/10/2022 11:06

Yes I was also flummoxed by this.Followed the instructio s and lo and behold the parcel arrived!!

meateatingveggie · 23/10/2022 12:52

Could someone confirm for me which options I can offer that I don't need a printer for please.

I've never used Vinted before and really don't want to mess around any buyers I may have

drpet49 · 23/10/2022 12:54

Don’t do it- I’ve had 2 parcels to missing due to the useless drivers still the wrong labels on.

meateatingveggie · 23/10/2022 12:58

Oh @drpet49 I was worried about that. I have several things I'd like to list but no printer

WinneyWasherWoman · 23/10/2022 13:08

Thing that confuses me about the locker is surely a dishonest person could simply scan the code, open & close the locker and put nothing inside?! But claim to have posted the item to receive their money back from Vinted?!

TheJoyOfCats · 23/10/2022 19:19

Grrrrrr bad news the package is missing

I still print the QR code off and tape to the parcel. My thinking is that at least there is something for the courier to trace if there's a problem, and I don't mix up parcels my end by scanning the wrong code for each package!
