Used to get them a lot - hit 4950 points and suddenly no more surveys...Hmm haven't had one for at least a month.

Is this gov.uk? My mum complained when this happened and got her points.

GlassOuijan · 12/10/2022 21:06

Is this yougov?
I didn't have any for ages, but have had two this week. Takes blooming ages to get to get to 5000, doesn't it?😞I'm on nearly 4000.

Sharpkat · 12/10/2022 21:06

I am on 4950 on yougov as well. So close.....

Sirpatrickdelaneypodmore · 12/10/2022 21:07

Yes. I was getting them daily. Now need around 400 points and not had a survey for weeks. In fact this thread has just reminded me about the site!

OneFrenchEgg · 12/10/2022 21:07

Yes YouGov! Kept getting the bloody things and now silence. No cheery emails and 4950 for ages.

If this isn’t the case it's possible that you have failed one of our regular, automated data quality checks. We take the quality of our data extremely seriously, and if we detect patterns of responses that suggest inattention or inconsistency, we may pause your account.

Under the support section about not getting surveys - handy Wink ^^

That's really handy to know. I do try and answer honestly but sometimes the surveys can be a bit boring or repetive I do hit the don't know options. I went through a phase of hardly getting any then started getting them more often. I now need about 65 points to hit the 5000 mark. I keep getting these annoying 20 point surveys every couple of days. I'm like just give me a big one. Worryingly I got an email today offering 500 if I share my banking data with them. I was like no way!

Anyway takes about 2 years to get 5000 points. Anyone else?

Blix · 12/10/2022 21:19

Try Prolific. Much more interesting, studies rather than endless questions about tv or celebrities I've never heard of. I make about £10 to £15 a week and it's paid straight away.

OneFrenchEgg · 12/10/2022 21:21

Thanks @Blix I'll be very pissed off if my account has been 'paused' at a handy pay up point!
I'll try that.

I've hit 5000 twice with you gov and got the £50 but I do have periods when I don't get any for ages then a few in a couple of weeks so might just have to be more patient. Both times took about a year tho....... Nobody going to get rich doing it but I weirdly quite enjoy doing them so don't mind as feels like free money💸😊

Sharpkat · 12/10/2022 22:16

Just checked my YouGov account and am 30 points off the £50. (Have already bought some new perfume with that money 😀)

@Blix I have just been added to the waitlist for Prolific. Thank you.

OneFrenchEgg · 12/10/2022 22:40

I think it takes years I've had £50 once. I dread the ones about would you feel proud to work here /embarrassed to work here/ value for money/ good quality/ heard something negative etc - takes forever

Oh I hate those questions too, so stupid. Why would you be proud/ashamed to work somewhere?
And those which do you think represents quality, value for money etc. so tedious, and go on forever.

Blix · 13/10/2022 11:11

I reckon about 2 years for the £50. I'm on 4300 points.
Compared with prolific it's rubbish. I started prolific in July and have made £240.

I dread thos "proud to work there" questions. I wouldn't be proud to work anywhere! Also the tv questions are repetitive. I seldom watch it so I guess that might be why I don't get many surveys.

Blix · 13/10/2022 11:12

I do take more care with Prolific. They are mostly academic research and they are paying you. Some are quite tricky, some are interesting. You have to be sat in front of your computer to get them though, they are snapped up quickly.

Sirpatrickdelaneypodmore · 13/10/2022 11:14

I’ve done some genuinely interesting studies on prolific too. I quite enjoy them.

OneFrenchEgg · 13/10/2022 12:53

Oh I'm going to sign up for Prolific. Yes to the tv questions, just soooo boring.
Also the are you worried about you may get Covid? - yes because it's rampant and I don't want to get it and have to avoid people, no because I'm not worried I'll be very unwell.

So I did a load of the daily questions and finally hit the magic money making mark today.
But I needed to change bank details so I put the new ones in and it still was clicked on my old one correlating with my address. Then clicked redeem and no confirmation they'd changed it. So who knows.

I wonder about this. I answer honestly, but usually that's "don't know". And all the, "would you be proud/ashamed to work for this company" - erm, neutral, ffs. I don't have innate emotions about whether I'd work for Boots or Vue or Specsavers.

So I probably look like a chancer!

OneFrenchEgg · 16/10/2022 09:12

On those ratings I'm always 'don't know' as it's usually a group I've never heard of, or neutral as I don't hold strong opinions on tv shows or literature.

A 200 point survey??? 😲

Mine are usually only 50 points. If that.

Crinkle77 · 28/10/2022 11:34

I finally got my £50 a couple of weeks ago. I now keep getting lots of little 10/15/20 point surveys. They're nearly every day. I'm making sure I answer honestly instead of clicking don't know or unsure so hopefully they'll keep coming more regularly.

MagpiePi · 28/10/2022 11:44

I used to get loads of surveys, and got my £50 a few times. The last time, I couldn't get it to accept my details so emailed in and eventually got my £50. Now I'm getting surveys nearly every day.

I was signed up to e-surveys where you could convert the points to air miles points (British Airways, which you could then convert to nectar points) but it was sometimes quite hard to get onto the surveys as I never seemed to fit the demographic, or they'd be completed.
