I've been diagnosed with this in one foot, slowly getting better.
Have you had it, and what helped you?

Yes in 2018. Fitflop shoes and flip flops and new balance trainers helped also it does heal on its own but takes a long while. For a year I wore flip flops in the shower and didn't put my actual feet on the floor without shoes on!!

Just to add I now to Hiit workouts and running and no issues :-) it's gone

Oh and 'hotter' tourist sandals around the house seemed to help cure mine (they don't look glam but I didn't care)

I've had this. Was told to roll a hard ball under my foot, I did and it cleared after 2 to 3 weeks.

HorribleHerstory · 12/10/2022 20:34

Yes, on and off for years. Flares up when I haven’t done enough exercise. I wear insoles in all my shoes now, but for me there is one easy cure - if I go for decently long walk of ideally more than 15/20 miles and ideally as much uphill and on the rockiest terrain I can get, it’ll banish it for a decent 2-3 weeks before it creeps back in. I have a foot strap for it too which sometimes I wear at night.

For me the only reliable cure is the long walk, the longer I can make it the longer it will stay away on average but anything under 10 miles just won’t cut it. And yes the first 10 miles are a bit of a hobble.

I’ve a foot related survey if anyones got 2 minutes to fill out. It’s about insoles actually and all opinions welcome!

Yes and I think it's affected my whole body unfortunately due to altered gait

Soubriquet · 12/10/2022 20:52

Yup. It appeared when I started my job. Which ironically was a walking job. Ended up having to get the scholls foot insoles that raises the heel and they helped a lot

The link didn't work for me

Olivesandanchovies · 12/10/2022 22:12

I had it in both feet. I lost 4 stone and it disappeared.

Colourbwrries · 05/01/2023 13:19

@Barbequebeans64 hope you will still see my message; how many sessions of shock wave therapy have you had? I’ve had the recommended 4 so far with little improvement.

Barbequebeans64 · 05/01/2023 13:33

@Colourbwrries I had 4 I think, it didn't go instantly but I think a few weeks/ months later it had completely gone. I was so impressed

Colourbwrries · 05/01/2023 13:41

@Barbequebeans64 thank you so much for the swift reply.

OP, I hope you are feeling better.
