Covid and dog walking

Would you just go out now if you had covid for dog walks? If you had no other options.

I did a test yesterday because I got a message from the app saying I had a close
Comtact. Had symptoms but luckily seems to be a cold.

I would go on a dog walk with covid as long as i could be certain of avoiding people.

I had covid in February and still haven't made a full recovery. If's a nasty illness.

Is the app still a thing?

I'm really surprised this is even a question. Are people really not doing outdoor things if they feel ok?

As long as you feel okay.

Hbh17 · 09/10/2022 17:42

Stop testing!
Go out just as normal, inc dog walks, but also work, shopping etc
Covid is a minor illness, so most of us are just cracking on without even bothering about it.

Hbh17 · 09/10/2022 17:44

There are people still using the app??? I mean, I never used it, but I thought everyone had ditched it a very long time ago.

Galarunner · 09/10/2022 17:47

Even when the rules were strict I still walked the dog as she can be a pain in the ass for other people and it would have been a massive welfare issue if I didn't take her out. I just stayed away from other people.

DP has been taking our dog as he got Covid just before me and feels fine now. He goes early in the morning, sees nobody, stays in the quiet fields.

I would love to take him for a walk too but feel so shit I can’t.Sad

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 09/10/2022 18:26

I walked mine when I had covid in Nov 21 🤷‍♀️. We live next to 2 big empty fields and I never saw a soul.

emmathedilemma · 09/10/2022 19:02

I deleted the app as soon as the gym reopened and I started leaving my phone in a locker where it could triggered an alert from someone I hadn’t been anywhere near!

Yes!
The worker in asda the other day had covid! She did have mask on but sje was talking to a colleague and said her attendance wasnt great due to childcare when dcs were poorly. And any more time meant warning. Her boss told her to wear a mask and go to work.
Was i worried.. Nope. Because i probably pass loads of people with covid.
