Morning fellow Mumsnetters - how’s your weekend shaping up so far? My Saturday has started well. I actually got a lie in thanks to my medication & didn’t even wake in the night which I usually do. Just sold a pair of wellies which have been on Facebook Marketplace for months. The sun is shining. DH is working, DD13 out for a walk. Later DD & I are meeting up with her half brother at a trampoline place. This afternoon I have to try on some catalogue clothes which have been sitting, unopened, in our bedroom for ages. Also have a general tidy up. Bought reduced Pizza Express pizzas from Tescos yesterday ( they had loads of yellow ticket stuff) so we’ll have those for tea & watch Strictly. I need to catch up with last week’s at some point. Please don’t tell me who went out! Working tomorrow & DH is making a Jamie Oliver Carbonara. DD is extremely fussy but even she will eat that, although she picks out all the peas!

The dog is pootling in and out of an open back door. I’m sat in tha back garden watching one of my favourite washes (whites) dance on the line and plucking my whiskers with my favourite tweezers. Later I’ll have a mosey round the local charity shops and pick up my new glasses. They feel very much like revenge glasses as Asda have discontinued the favourite ones I’ve been wearing for the last 4 years ☹️ I fear they may be ‘a bit much’.

Dh & ds playing fifa, dd still asleep. I’m sitting at the kitchen table soaking off acrylic nails.. main in the arse! Dog walk planned for after plus maybe a mooch around the antique centre

DH has gone to work, DD has done her paper round, maths tuition and now at her Saturday job.
DS is being parented by his Xbox for a bit . I'm trying to find motivation to hang some washing out, then I’m going to wander down to the allotment to tidy up a bit , then home via the coop that has chocolate shortbread……
oh I also want to change my bed sheets and clean the bathroom today.

im also hoping for a few hours of doing nothing. Happy Saturday

I had a whole 30 minute lie in this morning, which was nice 🤣 Not long but meant DH got DC up and sorted their bottles so I actually came down and had a warm coffee. We all had eggs on toast for breakfast.

Currently sat with DS1 watching Paw Patrol while DS2 naps and DH is mowing the lawn for the last time for this year. Then after lunch we're having a mini photoshoot done of us all so I can get at least some decent pictures of all of us together.

The weather is sunny but crisp today - loving it.

I am lying in bed feeling like death having caught gastroenteritis (or something like it) from 13 month old. It hit me at 2am like a truck. DP and DM looking after DD today, thank god. What on earth lone parents who have little to no family support do, I have no idea.

I’m sat on my tod with the baby while older ones are out playing, all my friends are hungover after a big night out lastnight and am bored coz I’ve done all my washing, all my dishes, the bottles are done, the steriliser water has been changed, the horses are done, the dogs have been walked, the baby is sleeping and I’ve got nothing to do

It’s been a beautiful sunny day here. I was out of the house by 8:30 to take DD to her swimming lesson. Got back, did two loads of washing and played with the kids whilst DH nipped out for his flu jab.
DH and DD have been out at a football match all afternoon and I’ve spent four hours in my happy place - my garden. I’ve dug up all the summer bedding plants and planted up 15 containers with tulip and daffodil bulbs, then planted cyclamen, ivy and winter flowering pansies on top. Mowed, scarified and overseeded the lawn ready for winter. Probably would have done it all in half the time if 3 year old DS hadn’t been ‘helping’ 😂

Didn't do all that much this morning, which was nice. A bit of homework but nothing else. Took the DC to their swimming lessons and then back home for baths.

We're currently having a sofa dinner (pasta bake followed by a Cadbury dessert pot) and watching Octonauts, a lovely Saturday treat. Then DD and DH are going in the dining room to play a board game and DS and I will do something in the living room.

After they're in bed I'm going to watch The Masked Dancer and do some cross stitch.

Dd heading out shortly to collect ds. I made some soup which I've just had, and am now turning my thoughts to Christmas and presents. Have ds' 21st in January and dh 60th in February so an expensive time ahead
