I just love a ring thread!
My DP and I got married last month, and I'm waiting for my wedding ring to come back from the jewellers as it was a little too big.

Whilst I'm waiting (and missing it!!) I'd love to see yours!

I wanted Simple rings that wouldn’t catch on anything and which would fit flush against each other without a gap. Still love the style all these years later.

I got married less than 3 weeks ago so still getting used to both but I absolutely adore them !

Fridayshare, yours is so similar to mine. I’ve seen people with the rub-over setting before and the band and rub-over in one colour, but I think yours is like mine with yellow gold band and platinum rub over around the diamond.

My hands are small - think ring size is E1/2, so narrow band and smallish stone were needed.

Loving the range of styles people have. Always like to look in windows of second hand jewellers and somehow find the second hand rings more appealing, although mine was new.

Friday, is your wedding band slightly tapered as it moves away from the stone? Mine is same width all way round and band the same depth as wedding band.

I meant to say ... I have a slim platinum wedding band, half eternity and a three stone engagement ring!

No @WombatChocolate , my band is the same width all the way round and the wedding ring is the same. I also have tiny hands and it really suits me.

My eyesight isn't great but it looks like the lower ring is what's known as a " regards" ring Ruby/emerald/garnet/amethyst (or aquamarine)/Ruby again/diamond/sapphire

Platinum wedding band, antique rose gold diamond engagement ring. Classic but the mixed metals make it a bit different, I think. Still in love with them after almost 20 years.

I think it's quite old

I mostly like traditional settings.

Mine is upstairs and I can’t be arsed to go and get
it, but it looks basically like this, but a little bigger and a little more oval. It’s much bigger than I would choose, but it was my great-grandmother‘s.

DH proposed with a wedding band instead of engagement ring and we’ve still not got around to getting either a second wedding band or engagement ring. I’m not a big jewellery person and don’t know what would compliment it. Advice welcome!
