I too saw an AstroTurf Smart car today and had the "surely that's a fire hazard" conversation with DH. I was also thinking surely it gets rusty underneath?

Years ago 3 Creme Egg cars silently drove past me - cars in the shape of Cadburys Creme eggs, about the size of a mini but totally egg shaped, painted like a creme egg - and I remember looking around to go WTF to anyone else but the place was deserted. I didn't make it up!

The new jeeps are pretty awful. Someone by me drives around in a horrible orange coloured one and I just keep thinking "you must be married to a goat if you think that car looks good"

It’s certainly memorable and less boring then a lot of the cars on the road. I wouldn’t call it awful, just not to your taste. There’s a lot of work gone into that.

perhaps is to save the rust issues with Ford Ka’s

@ChilliBandit and @PhilistineWazzock North East?

I remember sewing creme egg cars on TV. Maybe they were part of an advertising campaign?

I have seen a porche on the M25 wrapped in velvet. Fuzzy felt porche. I quite liked it

I've seen a smart car painted to look like a little tikes coupe car. Did a double take as it drove past.

I'm sure the Creme Egg, and other chocolate egg cars, are to do with the Cadburys Factory. When we went when I was small they had them there. You could also buy little toy versions which we did!

Someone made a full-size replica of a Little Tikes car.
I think it was based on an old Micra and they stripped the body to build a new one which was exactly like the toy one (even down to the high roof and no windows)!
Saw it around Bicester area more than once.

Hahahaaa

Similar to @YorkieTheRabbit , there was a smart car up my road when I was little that was covered in fake grass, which I think was promotion for a fake grass company!

There's still one of those round here sometimes.

I think I need to arrange my overdue eye test. I thought that was 2 penguins on the car roof!

I remember the Morris Marina and the car with the square steering wheel, the Austin Allegro.
