I'll go first, we never have margarine, I just hate it, even though DH thinks it's the best! (sorry dh)

Yep- margarine, not cos I hate it (some are quite buttery) but as I have eating disorder symptoms so I don't have a lot of things that are high cal or moreish in the house. It would encourage me to have it on toast.

Any sort of treats- I try not to have them in the house, and if they come in they're not there long cos I eat them. Grin

Kettle as we have an automatic hot tap

Most young people don’t have TVs these days as watch things on laptop.

No dishwasher or tumble dryer is still common, we don’t have either.

Sparkling water. I’m always asked and never have it. Is that a thing?

OldFan · 02/10/2022 00:22

I kill microwaves, use bleach to clean them and somehow kill them. 2 died so I can't be arsed buying another one.

^Vinegar, my dad was helping with some diy so we picked up fish and chips for tea. He was outraged at the lack of vinegar already on them or in our cupboards.
me nor DH like it so we just don’t have it.^

I think vinegar is going out of fashion. McDonalds don't tend to have it available for the fries, for instance. I like it tho

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · 02/10/2022 00:25

Dishwasher, freezer, tv, sparkling water. I’m sure there’s more.

Food according to one of my teenagers. She complains 'why are we an ingredient only household?'. Her sister made biscuits (from all the ingredients) this morning so I'd say we were doing OK.

Drinking glasses, when I first moved into my flat over a decade ago I had some but over the years they broke and I never replaced them.

This summer teen DD was visiting my friends house with me and wondering loudly how everyone else drinks squash out of glasses but we only have mugs.

Love drinking squash out of a mug!

Somethingneedstochange · 02/10/2022 00:46

I always have a few bottles in. My daughter often gets an upset stomach. Helps stop the vomiting so she can keep her meds down. Also good for a hangover.

Alcohol - which has been embarrassing a few times but hey ho
Coffee - DP uses an aeropress and I don't know how to use it so people can have coffee if he's here.
Enough seating - we have one two seater sofa for four of us, so it's difficult if people come...they very seldom do though!
