Eon have increased them far more than the new pricing letter they sent last week!

Tried to contact them but gave ip after 40 mins no answer. Have message them but taking on average 3 days to reply to each message

Bloody nightmare that you can't get hold of the energy companies!

(Exactly the same as @thesurreyyouth ’s Scottish Power prices.)

We have increased our October DD in preparation but we’re currently in credit and Bulb are suggesting we decrease it. Will see how it goes.

Wow Zingy that's good!!! That beats my British gas one and that is only fixed until 2023.

It's crazy that some people are paying almost double what others are for the same goods.

Oh well done! Hopefully by the end of your fix things will have settled down again.
Am I the only person who had never even heard of fixed energy tariffs before all of this? (I.e. before it was too late.)

@BrianWankum We always fix have done for years. We were on slightly better rates but they were for a shorter term so found this one and switched.

Unless you happen to have come off a fix yesterday your rates will either be the cap rates the same as the vast majority of the country or the same as they were yesterday

Our 3 year fixed rate came to an end yesterday, so we have had a very significant increase, however I am great full we have had the cheaper rates for so long.

Gas is 28.485 daily standing charge and 10.456 a unit.

Electricity is 44.413 daily standing charge and 34.225 a unit.

We're with Scottish Power in Wales and this is ours as of today. Our gas has gone up from 10p and electricity from 33p yesterday...

@Unihorn looks like those rates are the old October rates and they will be reduced closer to the new price guarantee rates

@Unihorn under the price guarantee your prices will really be around:

Electricity - 34p/kwh and 46p s/c
Gas - 10.3p/kwh and 28p s/c

I fixed last year, I've managed to move house and keep my tariff which was due to finish in 2023 but it looks like its extended until 2024!
I've been on this tariff 1 year and am £100 in credit and they've given me a payment holiday this month.
Please don't see this as smug, I had an enforced house move and it's been a horrendous few months, this is the only bright side as I honestly had no idea how I'd manage with increased rent, energy , fuel because I live further away and everything else.

I fixed earlier this year with British Gas just as everything was kicking off, this ends November 2023. I've always been an energy 'tart' swapping to the best tariff but I got nervous and thought I'd best fix with one of the big boys.

Your electricity rates are changing from 29.239p to 35.056p per kWh and your standing charge per day is changing from 37.92p to 38.93p.
Your gas rates are changing from 7.344p to 10.309p per kWh and your standing charge per day is changing from 27.22p to 28.48p.

On their Flexible 7 tariff - not fixed

They said about a month ago my direct debit would need to go up but they haven’t changed it yet, and I’ve got a warning on the app saying I need to change it to avoid going into debt… I’m going to leave it for another week or two as wonder if they’re sorting out the g’ment £400 behind the scenes and imagine they’re snowed under??
