What do you eat for breakfast?

I pretty much always just have a cup of tea and toast. It’s a bit boring though. I’d like to try something different but I just wondered what most people ate on weekday mornings.

Nothing or small dates&cashews bar.

Imissmoominmama · 30/09/2022 15:12

At the moment, either poached eggs on toast, or muesli with chai seeds and oat milk.

It changes every few months though.

MotherofPearl · 30/09/2022 15:23

Several cups of coffee.

Then usually granola or overnight oats topped with blueberries or something like snipped up dried apricots or dates.

Croissants at weekends.

Frozen berries with Greek yoghurt, nuts & seeds

lilroo87 · 30/09/2022 15:31

Various things. A favourite is peanut butter and banana porridge. But will often have toast with jam/peanut butter/cream cheese on. If I have time then I'll make pancakes

Happierwithouthim · 30/09/2022 15:32

Wake at 6, leave house at 7, during that time I'll have a pint of water with maybe 100ml fruit juice/smoothie in it with tbsp of Swedish Nutra multivitamin in it, I don't find this palatable on its own. This keeps me going until 10am when I've two poached eggs on a slice of multiseed cob from Lidl bakery le yum I don't find porridge fills me up at all.

Breakfast at bf's is porridge with blueberries, pecans and sultanas with salt and some honey so I would eat that occassionally too.

mathanxiety · 30/09/2022 16:22

Theae days it's a whole wheat pita warmed in the microwave, with a slice of provolone cheese and a big pile of baby spinach.

mathanxiety · 30/09/2022 16:23

And a pot of tea.

HappyMackerel · 30/09/2022 16:23

Overnight oats with frozen fruit, peanut butter and nuts.

bombemma · 30/09/2022 16:26

Butterfly44 · 30/09/2022 16:47

Cup of tea and choc au pain.

SwordToFlamethrower · 30/09/2022 16:49

Cereals ranging from oats to granola to bran or overnight oats. Also a full English or egg on toast.

Sometimes toasts with peanut butter or marmite.

RhinestoneCowgirl · 30/09/2022 16:50

Black coffee first thing, then I make up a flask of porridge with cinnamon and fruit (winter) or muesli with yogurt and fruit to take with me to eat at work later.

JustDanceAddict · 30/09/2022 16:57

atm porridge w honey and banana or blueberries
in the summer I had yoghurt w fruit and granola
occasionally I’ll have toast w peanut butter and jam or blueberries and a coffee

Luredbyapomegranate · 30/09/2022 17:06

Porridge, yogurt, berries, seeds. Mid morning at work though, not hungry first thing.

Scianel · 30/09/2022 17:08

Coffee.

Hawkins001 · 30/09/2022 18:32

Most of the time it's usually a cuppa tea, as normally I'm rushing or even with time, I don't have the desire for morning food.

lljkk · 30/09/2022 18:37

(brown wrap) Quesadilla with salsa. Today.
Another day might be apple crumble or ham sandwich.
