90's exercise - what was your favourite?

I'm ancient now but fondly remember the popularity of aerobics in the 90s. Step really took off then and 'popmobility' - a really high impact class that took you to another level. BLT classes which were mostly spent on the mat.

These evolved to the Les Mills classes of the 00's and HIIT - I really miss the old skool aerobics classes though 😅

In the early 2000s, I used to do a class called Funrobics - dance based, full on aerobics and it was HARD! Physically demanding and difficult choreography. I've never done a class I enjoyed as much since.

@PollyCreo yes! There was a toning tables place in the small town where I grew up when I was in 6th form.

Weight training - I could do 8 chin-ups.

Never heard of the classes you mention (except aerobics). I loved aerobics and step in the early 90s.

Yes. Remember Lizzie Webb and Green Goddess.

When we were in the first lockdown with covid and everything was scary and unsettling I used to work out to this:

They are just so ridiculous and happy it was impossible not to cheer up when 'joining in'! Plus I lost 3 stone!

My mum did the "wobble beds"/ toning tables. It offended my delicate teenage sensibilities.

Apparently you were supposed to resist the movement. I'm not sure that many did.

I miss step classes. I do Mr Motivator on youube though!

My friends did line dancing as their DoE physical activity.

It was the dying era of the floral rubber swimming hat, worn by ladies what breast stroke who kept their heads aloft and their make-up and perfume immaculate. I'm launching an ironic revival 😁

I bloody hated Les Mills it ruined everything!!

Me I loved the awesome dancy hi lo old skool aerobics where the very theatrical aerobics teacher (hot man) would teach us a routine over the course of the class, then at the end we'd all do it then he'd gleefully turn up the speed dial on thr old CD system and we'd do it even faster. And they all had those little Madonna face mics and the girls wore those crop tops and little shorts with weird things over.

Those were the days 😄
