Ideas for Disney suprise

A few months ago i mentioned to ds2 about going to Disney (his favourite place)
He said he would go without anything for Xmas if he could go

Since then I've told him I can't afford it

So now I need some ideas for Xmas to suprise him

If he comes down to one present he'll know what I've done
But if I wrap lots of random stuff or empty boxes I think he'll catch on too

Any ideas? (He's 13)

And actually I’m doing it again for his Xmas present this year 🙈. The first time I did the balloon thing was a when he was a lot
younger and I mentioned it the other day and he didn’t know what he was talking about. Next year
I’m taking him to New York so I’ve ordered a clear balloon with an American flag balloon inside, that’s going into a big box as well
then in his stocking I’m getting American sweets, a guide book to New York, an NYC T-shirt and he’s having a backpack! There’ll be loads of people who do balloons in your area

And my favourite if slightly bonkers - after they've gone to bed on Xmas Eve re-do the tree with Disney decorations (try Primark for cheap baubles).

I love this!

That and the balloon.

@sparkli I'd love to know what the riddles were

Were they Disney related or did they just guide you to the final one revealed?

He'll know as soon as you send him on a wild goose chase with the riddles, the same as he will with one envelope/box.

I think the point of the riddles and little Disney clue gifts is for children who have no idea it's even a possibility, unlike your DS

The tree idea is a great one

@PigsInBlanketyBlankets I agree, I think a change of tree decorations or some extra Disney decorations with a balloon in a box is the way forward

Thank you all Smile

Smile You're welcome. Have a fantastic trip - how long will DS have to wait? We went Feb half term so mine only had a few weeks. I had everything booked in advance.

@TomAllenWife The 1st ones were generic and led us to the next hiding place and clue. There were 10 in total and as they went on they had a reference to USA/Florida. The final one told us we were off to meet Mickey and Minnie. Dsis was only 8 and the pair of us bawled our eyes out! How on earth DF managed to write 10 rhyming clues is still beyond the whole family, including him!

I managed to get a

"Guess who's going to Disney" banner Smile
