Teenage daughter’s room!

After the summer holidays it has got really grotty. It’s getting me down and I feel like blitzing it while she is at school. She will do the basics eg dust the shelves, put dirty clothes in the wash but it needs proper decluttering, hoovering behind the bed and between the cupboards, sorting out clothes that don’t fit any more, organising all the shelves. It’s too small for her now she is a teenager but I don’t know where to start!

What’s the worst room in your house and are you avoiding it like me?

The spare room. It is a store room and a laundry.

DH office. He seems to collect new stuff and not throw old stuff away, it's a shit pit.

Teen DD's room. There has even been gum on the floor.
My room is the most cluttered as I had to swap with DS and he now has the biggest room.

The storage room. I really need to sort through everything there and get rid of stuff we are likely never to use again buy there's just so much stuff that I don't know where to start. And it's cold in there so don't want to spend any longer in there than I need to.

The third bedroom (used as my office / laundry drying room / spin bike station). It is really atrocious - it’s become the place we just park stuff. But I’m OK with it because the rest of the house is quite tidy so I am at peace with keeping the chaos to one room.

The spare room has become a bit of Christmas prep dumping ground, I also use it to sort clean clothes upstairs and dh uses it as an office as his proper one isn't quite finished. I am hopeful we will get it back to a nice normal bedroom soon.

We have a large entertainment room that has a little bit of everything, gym equipment, library/study area, and a little sofa and TV.
It has become the dumping ground for all the extra empty delivery parcels and other crap associated with trying to wrap presents.
It’s also where I keep my alcohol in a little cabinet so unfortunately I face the mess regularly.

Normally it's spare room, utility and study that are worst. Swiftly followed by DD1's bedroom.

At the moment it's all quite tidy because my parents might be coming up for Xmas.

It feels so, so good having it tidy though.

My partner's office.

DH’s hobby room - it’s full of bikes and tools and I can’t even get in there without worrying I’m going to hit my head/step on something. The rest of the flat is fairly tidy, even with two DC, and I’m pretty minimalist and tidy. I have my suspicions that possible ADHD is behind his ability to tackle his stuff, but I don’t know how to address it.
