Why is there no own brand Shredded Wheat?

There seems to be does of every other cereal but the large, original sized Shredded Wheat.

I think Tesco used to do an own-brand version of Shredded Wheat, called Wheat Pillows or something. Haven't seen them for a good few years though - presumably they just didn't sell enough for it to be worthwhile. It's a shame, because I love SW but they're quite expensive!

The only purpose of shredded wheat is for making Easter nests! I can’t believe anyone actually eats it out of choice if not covered in chocolate!

aldi do their own shreddies which is fortunate as my son gets through them at an alarming rate

I know loads of places do them, but they're almost never in stock at the moment. Frustrating as my kids eat LOADS of them so it costs a fortune in Kellogg's!!!

Like where? Not any shops I've looked.

I would love to know too OP, I can't eat the original due to the allergy warning so been looking to see if own brand might be safer but they don't exist (unless Guy tells us where they all are)

If you didn't like Shredded Wheat as a child give it a go now .

Thats why in asking the question. I bought a small, small pack in pound land for £2 and now I'm in love.

But they don't last and they are too expensive.

Yes it's especially weird as there is no secret recipe, they literally have a single ingredient. My husband swears he likes the big ones but not the small even though as far as I'm concerned they're the same. So I wish there were own brand ones of the big ones.

Shredded wheat reminds me of my dad Grin

I know this isn't what you're asking, OP, but you can get 24 for £3 in Iceland...

It’s a mystery! I’ve often wondered too…Staple breakfast here with hot oat milk, white sugar sprinkled over (never brown!)
