Where has your best UK holiday been?

Looking for next year and need some inspiration.

2 teenage DC's, who like outdoorsy stuff.

In the Midlands so can travel to most places.

North Wales:
surf snowdonia plus zip lines
castles to explore
lovely beach at Harlech
A55 makes travel pretty painless

We really enjoyed Brighton... Got very lucky with the weather tho!

Derbyshire- stayed in a great youth hostel in Ilam (?) thanks to a MN tip off!

Yorkshire Dales, especially Wensleydale. Beautiful walks, cosy pubs, amazing scenery, lakes waterfalls, genuinely peaceful and not spoilt by tourism.

Derbyshire - near Chatsworth. Gorgeous place. Went to Bakewell, Chatsworth, Matlock, heights of Abraham, carsington water. Lots of lovely walks.

London's great for teens.

Northumberland. Love it Bamburgh Anwick Alnmouth Seahouses Beadnell Bay and a day trip to Edinburgh.

We love the Yorkshire dales too.

But, Northern Ireland. The giants causeway was why we went, and I'd recommend it, but we just loved it there. We stayed in port Stewart.

Whitby

Lake District for me!

Northumberland is ace. Coastline, forests if you go inland, castles, history, day trip to Edinburgh, amazing beach at Druridge Bay, superb places to eat amazing local traditional food. LOVE IT!!

Northumberland. A million times. My favourite place in the UK. beaches, moors, beauty.

Sidmouth in Devon.

Dorset.

Isle of Wight.

I like to pretend I'm going to get some warmth and sun .

Surfing / body boarding in Fistral (Cornwall) but it was a beautiful sunny week

Pembrokeshire for us. Like Cornwall was 25 years ago!

The Isles of Scilly. St Martins is the most beautiful place, gorgeous beaches and water sports available weather permitting.

Another vote for Northumberland
we stay on the border, so spend some time in SE Scotland too- we love it!

We love Derbyshire and go quite often as its not too far, but have never come across abseiling, thanks for the tip as that is now on our adventures list.

On Skye.
