Anyone Remember the green squash you used to get in the 80s /90s?

Talking about stuff from childhood with DH and I was telling him about the green squash my mum used to buy us as kids. He looked perplexed and laughed. Now I can't find a pic of it but I remember it so vividly. It was a tropical flavour I think and was literally bright green. Anyone else remember?

Not um bongo? Was that green?

tinyflies · 14/09/2022 22:19

Not umbungo although i remember it well too. This was literally a bottle of justice that you diluted with water. It was bright green. I can't remember who made it tho

JustTheOneMrsWembly · 14/09/2022 22:22

Yes! I thought I was the only one who remembered this!
It wasn’t um bongo. It was very green and I remember it had a flavour that was hard to describe, but sort of tropical maybe

ShipwreckSunset · 14/09/2022 22:22

I remember this but can’t recall the name!
You’re not imagining it OP!

tinyflies · 14/09/2022 22:23

Oh gosh I'm glad other people are remembering too, I was thinking I was going nuts. It was so nice. Don't think it was Robinson's that made it

i think you might be referring ‘jungle juice’, at least that’s what it was called in our family! I’ve no idea what it actually was though.

tinyflies · 14/09/2022 22:25

I literally cannot find any pic online lol

MarmiteCoriander · 14/09/2022 22:29

Hehehe, I thought you you meant a green pumpkin type plant, also called a squash!

Do you mean a syrupy, cordial you dilute with water to make a drink????

Ah sorry not in stock

mast0650 · 14/09/2022 22:42

I thought you meant "squash" as in butternut, pumpkin etc. Couldn't think of any bright green ones from the 80s. Then people started talking about bottles....

tinyflies · 14/09/2022 22:44

That's not it then. It a clear plastic bottle. The liquid is green. I think I'm back to going nuts lol
