British TV is full of total and utter crap, all the idols, talent shows, strictly, Geordy shore, love island, made in Chelsea, seriously wtf is that about a bunch of rich entitled brats being paid to act like rush entitled brats, why do people watch it your just making that richer! Any kind of “I’m a celebrity” show, cooking and home makeover shows, shows about people on benefits, shows watching people watch fucking tv🙄 this list is endless…

My husband and I have considered that it might be a money making enterprise. The washed up celebs pay £x (on a sliding scale) to be on the show and get their mugs on telly. Davina McCall would sell a kidney to be on telly, and the other judges are probably doing it for £50 a time. And think of the phone vote etc revenue. Wish I’d thought of it myself.

Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings - if that is slash fiction then Voldemort better not find out. If it's a 9th book or 10th film then will need to see.

When that terrible song came out I sympathised enormously for any women and girls born in, or living in, the greater Galway area. Imagine being dogged by that bloody song for the next ten years.

The vast majority of comedians doing the rounds on TV are no funnier than an average bloke in the pub. They’ve just been lucky.

All the soaps are unwatchable.

University Challenge has dumbed down (why do they now have questions on football and hip hop and Ed Sheerhan for god’s sake?).

Real life documentaries are far more moving and interesting than the majority of TV dramas.

The BBC (and British TV generally) is mostly rubbish. They are far more interested in diversity than quality. They simply couldn’t make something like I Claudius or Brideshead Revisited today. If I watch anything now, it’s a DVD boxset. I can’t remember the last time I watched a BBC show.
