I have never watched Love Island or any of those types of reality tv. I’d rather have a lobotomy.

Sally Rooney’s books are navel gazing drivel.

Celebrities make shows boring to watch, I prefer seeing real people if I'm going to watch something like Bake off. I'd prefer that for something like Strictly too, which I don't watch much of as I just can't stand all these 'celebrities'.

My own unpopular opinion is that Sally Rooney is actually good.

This is what I would call a very popular opinion, which would attract overwhelming support!

I find Katherine Jenkins deeply sinister.

The current crop of ubiquitous male alternative comedians (Ed Gamble, James Acaster, Romesh Ranganathan, Jack Whitehall et al) should be forced to go on sabbatical for five years, ideally to a mountain in Bhutan or similar.

That will maybe allow me to see them on TV at some point in the future without wanting to put my fist through the screen.

Better Call Saul is better than Breaking Bad

Mrs Brown’s Boys is funny and heartwarming and I will always watch it if it’s on.

I will forever hate whoever ousted Paul O’Grady for Rob Beckett on the R2 Sunday evening slot. I will really miss the chat between Paul and Malcolm. Rob’s nice, but he’s no POG.

Reality TV is great, I particularly like 90 day fiance but watch a fair few others too

There is nothing worthy of the name 'comedy' at present. I listen to R4 news at 6, and at 6.30 there is usually a so-called 'comedy' programme. I can't turn it off fast enough, it is so painfully unfunny with a (live?) audience laughing like drains. Last week it was 'best comedy from the Edinburgh Festival' so I thought I'd give it a chance ... if that was the best then WTF.

Is Ex Factor where all of an unpleasant person's exes are brought on TV to discuss why they broke up with the contestant? Don't think I've seen that but the conflation of a narcissist with no self-insight and their exes might be sufficiently educational for the naive.
