Just that really, does anyone have any they'd like to ban? 😂

"Living their best life"
"Burgeoning baby bump"
Selfie - mainly when it's not a self photograph!
Quaint
"We're pregnant"
Any form of estate agent speak that makes a property sound nicer than it is
Furbaby
Baby mama/daddy

"Welp" instead of well
You got this
Not all heroes wear capes
Pick your brains
Love you to the moon and back
"Hitmaker" when referring to a music artist (usually found in terrible newspapers like daily mail)
And any of those knickknacky things you find with dire expressions on them like "it's Prosecco o'clock", "live laugh love" etc

Oilytoe90 · 06/09/2022 20:15

MOIST!!! shudders 🤢

YesitsBess · 06/09/2022 20:31

Displayed her ample assets.

ShowOfHands · 06/09/2022 20:40

Shortening foods. No to tommy k and jacket pots and spag bol.

Slinging, grabbing, chucking whether it's food in a pan or clothes. Stop with the affectations.

Stop nibbling or munching on or picking at or any other visceral description of eating.

No more picky bits.

Sentences starting with "so".

Super excited for stuff. You are slightly excited about stuff.

Don't clap back or reach out.

And no more Karens. Women are allowed a voice.

Gingercatlover · 06/09/2022 21:29

Smashed it!

CaramelTwirl · 06/09/2022 22:04

Woke

wellobviouslyyoucan · 07/09/2022 08:25

The written phrase "nom nom" makes me feel sick when people refer to food.

Oddly, I hate loud eaters or people eating with their mouths open. I don't know if there is an underlying link!?

squashcakes · 07/09/2022 08:28

Outlier.
I have no idea if it's because I switched roles but in my previous 46 years I have never heard or used that word. Now it's everywhere.

miserablecat · 07/09/2022 08:36

Haven't RTFT
But

Literally....."I literally died"
(You absolutely didn't, you are here telling me about something mildly uncomfirtable/unpleasant.)

And
On radio travel reports, they often report a "nasty accident" ....surely all accidents are nasty, is there such a thing as a nice accident?
Similarly weather presenters saying it will feel "fresher" when they actually mean chilly.

I hate 'nourish' as well.

I am enjoying my new way of eating (NOT DIET!) because I love eating foods that I know nourish my body

Nourish is even more irritating when it doesn't mean food.

Eg nourish your soul

flinginflangin · 07/09/2022 10:04

I can't stand 'stay safe!' Or businesses listing the precautions they take "to keep you safe" which I seemed to hear a lot during the pandemic. I understand why they did it but I'm a grown up and I don't need to be 'kept safe' thanks.

CeltictigerMum · 07/09/2022 20:38

Hack . Bloody "hack this", "hack that"....

OutOntheTilez · 08/09/2022 03:32

"Go big or go home."

newbiename · 08/09/2022 03:48

Hubby 🤢

banjaxedagain · 08/09/2022 08:27

No one just dies these days, everyone has 'sadly died'.

Another one which makes my toes curl with embarrassment is when someone posts on SM about their child going to school or starting a new hobby or club with the phrase 'look out *** she's coming to get you'. Cringe.

PerfectPictureFrame · 08/09/2022 08:31

'Literally' as in, 'I had a headache that literally killed me'.

Well, it didn't literally kill you because you're here telling me about it! 😂

PerfectPictureFrame · 08/09/2022 08:33

LadyGAgain · 05/09/2022 22:39

Making memories
Living our best life
A "cheeky" little <enter what here>
Furbaby
Calling your child "mate"

Oh, I hate it when people tell me to 'make memories' especially when talking about older relatives. I feel like they're really saying, 'have fun with them...they'll be dead soon!' 😂

PerfectPictureFrame · 08/09/2022 08:35

'LTB' in response to 'my husband left his socks on the floor'. 😂

Lotstodoo · 08/09/2022 08:37

Punching down

furbabies

front bottom

loads more but those are the worst

Lotstodoo · 08/09/2022 08:39

ItsABrandNewDay · 06/09/2022 18:40

Mansplaining is another one

I like the term Mansplaining, encapsulates so much

Unforgettablefire · 08/09/2022 08:53

Mar mar
We are pregnant
Starting a sentence with "I mean"
Aks instead of ask

CaramelTwirl · 08/09/2022 12:23

Smashed avocado

moggerhanger · 08/09/2022 13:52

"Absolutely" being used instead of "yes". I hear it a lot in radio interviews and it makes me scowl.

ErrolTheDragon · 08/09/2022 13:57

I like the term Mansplaining, encapsulates so much

I'd be delighted to never hear the word again, if it was because the phenomenon had ceased to exist.
The same might apply to 'smashed avocado' I suppose.Grin

zukiecat · 30/09/2022 22:09

Hill to die on is another phrase I hate
