Just that really, does anyone have any they'd like to ban? 😂

"Living their best life"
"Burgeoning baby bump"
Selfie - mainly when it's not a self photograph!
Quaint
"We're pregnant"
Any form of estate agent speak that makes a property sound nicer than it is
Furbaby
Baby mama/daddy

Levelling up.
Making memories (blurrgh)
By the end of play ( makes my foot itch).
It is what it is...grrrrr

BogRollBOGOF · 06/09/2022 14:45

"That one" in the rather specific circumstances of DH someone gesticulating wildly. When asked "which one?" they repeat "that one" with increased urgency rather than giving a pacific specific detail or direction 🤦‍♀️

So many brilliant suggestions here!

Snowflake
LOL (does anyone actually laugh when they say that?)
Millenial/boomer etc. when used to offend someone (such as OK boomer)

Having worked in an office environment as well, I'd like to see the back of many office phrases... Most of them, especially in emails, just scream "f* you!" in my opinion.

Kind regards
As per my previous email

‘Excited for’. It’s excited ABOUT!!! Grrrrr.

Delia65 · 06/09/2022 18:12

Hack , as in 'new cleaning hack' etc

Anytime anyone finds a new/different way of doing anything they refer to it as a 'life hack'

Drives me insane!

Thinkingblonde · 06/09/2022 18:22

He’s grinding my gears.
Can I get,

Baby momma
Mamma bear / Poppa bear.
Ickle bubba

Slight scratch, but doesn’t effect use. (Especially when the slight scratch is a 3 m wide crack the length of the table).

I'd forgotten about this one!

Half the time it's not even a 'hack', it's just that someone's read the instructions!

Along with all the 'gifting': books that are 'authored'. An author writes a book, a book is written.

Confusing infer and imply, to borrow and to lend, to learn and to be taught or to teach.

I don't like 'bored of' which seems to have replaced 'bored with' or 'bored by'.

My mother, sadly, died. She didn't pass away or worse, 'pass' which sounds as if she might have passed her driving test.

Furbaby, hollibobs, hubby and hunni are all horrid, beastly and vile 😁

toodlesthen · 06/09/2022 18:35

The word 'lush' except when used to describe a rain forest or other green and healthy space.

'That cake was lush' - 'the hotel was lush'

YUCK!

"Out the door" instead of "out of the door" really, really pisses me off.

fortifiedwithtea · 06/09/2022 18:52

Baby girl. When a mother refers to their daughter who is a teen/ young woman as Baby Girl

giving 110% no that’s not possible

oh very much so. Just say I agree

Perhaps you should read their first email propery.

I use the above when somebody is clearly being a fuckwit.

SollaSollew · 06/09/2022 19:02

Agree with so many of these, my pet hate though is 'wellness'

abbey44 · 06/09/2022 19:37

Agree with loads of these - definitely “little man” and “reaching out” - they make me shudder. Also “to the moon and back” (so overused) and “myself” used incorrectly - “myself and my family”… just no.

Hollibobs
