Is Sky worth the money? If not, what to change to?

I tried to cancel sky tv a couple of years ago, they immediately reduced my price from £57 to £28, so I renewed my contract. I’m now out of contract again and costing £59. It looks like the best deal they’ll offer now is £45, so I’m prepared to cancel. If I don’t have sky tv, what tv service would you recommend? Freeview? Now tv?

I have a TV licence, use Freeview and have a basic Netflix account.
I also use DPs Amazon Prime occasionally and my parents Sky Go on a device. These 2 are probably minimal.

DP just uses Amazon Prime and YouTube, doesn't have a TV licence.

You need to think about what, and how you watch, whether you need a licence, whether free options are adequate or you want a paid for service.

For me, unless you want the Sky sports, paying for Sky seems pointless.

Cancel, they'll ring you in a couple of days with better deals.

We now have freeview, Netflix, disney and prime (we got disney free for 12 months and then got another offer for 12 months) and we have student prime. It still works out so much cheaper than sky and virgin was.

I have Sky, Disney +, Prime and Netflix.

There are different things to watch on all of them. Tbf my hobby is watching TV, I’ve got a day off today and I’ve been sitting here since 9am…

I cancelled Sky a couple of weeks ago as we just weren’t using it. We don’t watch a lot of TV but have Netflix & Amazon prime on top of normal TV.

I have amazon prime, netflix and disney+. No freeview and no TV licence.

I've just joined up for skyGo £22 a month. Which includes Netflix for 18 months.

If you have a blue light card they have a promo on.
