We’ve been doing a lot of movies I’ve the last few weeks, maidenly family ones but I’ve also been on the lookout for for a few that DH and I can enjoy…

while looking for one for the DC a few weeks ago I seen a scary/thriller that I thought would be good but now I can’t find it!!

I thought it was Netflix but have spent the last 15 mins looking for it and it’s not there….

I think it was about an Australian serial killer and possibly based on a true story, the cover is of a little girls holding a woman’s hand in what looks like corn fields the girls stare is looking towards you and the women is walking almost out of view with her back to the camera…

Has anyone seen this about?

I've got Netflix and can't find this. It sounds good, so hope someone recognises it.

“The girl in the cornfields horror” is a 2016 film or could it be
“my lovely bones?”

sendwineandastraw · 22/08/2022 16:42

Thank you for replies but neither of these unfortunately and think must be fairly recent as have never seen it before…

sure it’s based on a real life events. very frustrating!

Picnic at Hanging Rock?

senua · 22/08/2022 16:53

Scratch that; not a serial killer one.

LittleBrenda · 22/08/2022 16:55

There is no corn at Hanging Rock. It's barren. I wouldn't be surprised if there were serial killers though.

loopsaloo · 22/08/2022 16:55

Wolf Creek?

RiderOfTheBlue · 22/08/2022 17:07

In The Tall Grass?

ComtesseDeSpair · 22/08/2022 17:12

Killing Ground? Was definitely on Netflix a few weeks ago.

RubyDarke · 22/08/2022 17:15

The Cane Field Killings? South African not Australian, serial killer plus police officer who was kidnapped as a child. I think it is on All 4

Didisquat · 22/08/2022 17:20

I think it’s In the tall grass

sendwineandastraw · 22/08/2022 17:29

No none of these…

(though do really fancy the Cane Field Killings)

Maybe when I eventually have find it will be a completely different plot to what I remember haha but the description above is definitely the movie cover wherever it is!!

Hi there,
Was just doing some research on Netflix for this film and I came across lost girls. It's not an Australian true crime but it is based on a true story. I will keep looking for it though so if you have anymore information then please do let me know.
Kind regards,
Thehelper13

I was going to suggest Cargo too, starring Martin Freeman and set in Australia.

She's already said it wasn't that.
