Tonight DC (7 years) swallowed a 2p coin🤦‍♀️
Been in A&E, and it’s now a case of wait and hope it comes out.

Has anyone else been in this situation? Did it pass? Worried it will get stuck.

My little darling swallowed her sister's pocket money, a $2 coin AND a 50 cent coin. Cue us spending much of the evening at A&E, to get her x-rayed. She pooped them out eventually.

DS swallowed 20p. I asked the advice of a gp friend who said that it’s normally one for A&E but because he felt fine and it was in the middle of bird flu, she thought it was better not to. It reappeared within 24h- I can still remember the chink of metal on porcelain.

No update as of yet. He went to the loo this morning and flushed before I had time to check 🤦‍♀️

He seems ok in himself, just can’t believe he ate it!

Dd swallowed a silver ring when she was about 8. Went to a&e (long story) where Dr used metal detector to make sure it was I her tummy. It reappeared the next day....

Last time I was at A&E there was a very sweet girl who had swallowed a coin. She had us all very entertained. She'd thought it was a chocolate one, and gone to eat it, heard her mum coming and decided to swallow the evidence.
Her dad (who was with her) said to her at one point: I hope I get a bit of money from this. I'm not sure it's worth getting it out if it's only 1p. She told him it was a £100 coin. Grin They then started planning what they'd spend it on when it came out. I think a swimming pool was mentioned. Grin

My nephew did this several times up to the age of 4. He had an x ray each time and passed it no problem each time.
