Happy Halloween!
Any outstanding?

AllTheYoungGoodyTwoShoes · 31/10/2022 22:55

Rogue1001MNer · 31/10/2022 23:20

Correct goody and shiny.

Points awarded.

P.s. shiny, so pleased you know that song. One of DH's favourites

Rogue1001MNer · 31/10/2022 23:23

Albuquerque

I hate this song, so zero points if you get it

I hate that song too. 😁

Rogue1001MNer · 01/11/2022 17:22

Correct Swallowing.

Halloween made it to this thread last night.

Some of the songs were TRICKS, and got no points, sadly (N2K and honey got all of those)

The others were TREATS and double points were awarded.

All back to normal now

Honeyroar · 01/11/2022 19:14

You're such a mean old witch Rogue! How strange that N2K and I guessed all the tricks. 👹👻💀

Rogue1001MNer · 01/11/2022 19:56

How strange indeed, honey.

But them's the breaks 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I don't make the rules
(Well, actually, I make them up depending on my whims at the time)

ddl1 · 01/11/2022 20:48

Here are those that haven't been guessed yet, with a few clues added:

(1) Here's your coat and here's your shoes/ And don't forget your blues/Your own canoe now you'll have to row (40s/50s)

By an American country singer/ songwriter, who was active from the 40s through the 80s. His many other songs include 'Honky Tonk Girl' (most famously performed by Johnny Cash) and 'Oklahoma Hills'.

(3) Yeah. she knows how to move, how to rock...And she's stoned like a flash in the night ... Every time I make a move, she tells me no. (70s)

The group is named after a fictional cat. Their other songs include 'Alright Alright Alright'.

(10) I was alone on the road and your love was so confusing/
All my teachers told me, I had myself to blame/ But in the grip of sensual illusion/ The sweet unknowing unified the name. (2010s),

This is one of the later songs by a well-known Canadian Jewish singer-songwriter.

I'm just going to guess as I don't have a clue!

  1. Willie Nelson? Is he that old?
  1. Trying to think of a fictional cat- Garfield? Bagpuss?!
  1. KD Lang?

No to all, I'm afraid

Willie Nelson's not a bad guess, but no.

The cat appeared in a book by a famous poet, which was later made into a very popular musical.

The singer-songwriter of (10) was the subject of a recent biopic film, though I don't think this song appeared in it.

You're correct!

OK. the song is 'Long-Legged Woman Dressed in Black'.

NeedToKnow101 · 02/11/2022 06:57

I'm thinking Marmaduke, but that's as far as I got.

Honeyroar · 05/11/2022 20:53

Time to eat all your words
swallow your pride
open your eyes
(80s)

Honeyroar · 05/11/2022 20:54

In the midnight hour
I can feel your power
(90s)

Honeyroar · 05/11/2022 20:55

Look me in the eyes and tell me we are really through
(80s)

Honeyroar · 05/11/2022 20:58

Although I’m not making plans
i hope that you’ll understand there’s a reason why
(80s)

Honeyroar · 05/11/2022 21:01

Tonight’s the night we’ve waited for
the time to sing and dance like never before
