These were the scenes outside hot and sunny Belfast City Hall earlier today as quite a few Mumsnetters joined thousands of other people in stopping the traffic for Noah Donohoe.

I'll post a few more photos too.

Amazing support for a campaign that should not be needed - no mother should have to fight like that after losing their child.
You're right @notaflyingmonkey - It's brilliant, but it should not be needed. We shouldn't all have to be doing this in 2022. An innocent grieving mother should not be having to fight tooth and nail for the truth about what happened to her innocent only child and for justice for him. She hasn't just lost her Noah, her beloved son, her wee soulmate, she has lost everything during the last two years. And not forgetting what Fiona's sister Niamh and her children have lost too.

What do you think of this article, @BelfastsChild ? It's from 29th July 2022, after Brandon Lewis walked and Shailesh Vara took over. Vara got his quill out mighty quick to sign off the Public Interest Immunity certificate.

www.irishcentral.com/news/noah-donohoe-public-interest-immunity

Is it reasonably accurate?

This is interesting:

On Friday, Michelle O'Neill, First Minister-Designate of Northern Ireland, said in a statement that she has written to Vara "making it clear that the use of a Public Interest Immunity (PII) certificate to conceal information on the death of Noah Donohoe is totally unacceptable.

I'd like to forward it to a couple of friends, if it seems accurate enough.

Amazing turnout!!
Hope it brings Fiona and family some sort of comfort to know that they aren’t alone 💙
The truth will out ….. it always does.

Great turn out today. Noah's photo was on the big screens at the Feile 80s night as well.
We stand with Fiona.
We want justice for Noah.
We want our children to be safe.

Thank you. Fiona and Niamh has said it does, @Shrewsbury247 - they would do it alone if they had to, such is their love and determination for Noah, but it would be so much harder. The support helps them carry on. The more support they have, as we saw yesterday, the harder it is for the authorities and others to ignore them and get away with what they have been doing.

The truth will out ….. it always does.
I believe you are right.

For those on Twitter, there is a twitterstorm today at 6.11pm and every Sunday at that time for Noah. Please join in and encourage others to if you can.

The day and time was chosen because that was when Noah was reportedly last seen alive on CCTV running naked and exhausted on Northwood Road, a residential cul-de-sac in Belfast. The police later changed the time of this sighting.

BelfastsChild · 14/08/2022 17:58

@Lysianthus - just letting you know about the weekly twitterstorm for Noah in my pp, as you said you were going to be retweeting.

RhannionKPSS · 14/08/2022 18:03

What do I look for on twitter to join in please?

BelfastsChild · 14/08/2022 18:09

Use as many of the correct hashtags @RhannionKPSS - there are a few, so to get you started as time is short now: #NoahDonohoe #JusticeForNoahDonohoe #JusticeForNoah #NoahsArmy #Week112

OP posts:
BelfastsChild · 14/08/2022 18:52

The #Week changes every week. It is 112 weeks today since Noah disappeared, hence #Week112. Next Sunday it will be #Week113 and so on until there is the truth for Fiona and Niamh and justice for Noah. Other ones used a lot are #RememberMyNoah and #NoPII but there are a few others you'll notice.

It's only part of the picture but that article looks fine to me @SpinCityBlues

One thing to add is that inclusive cross party support is important to Fiona and Niamh. Representatives from all parties across the communities were invited equally to attend and speak yesterday. There was a good acceptance rate as you might have seen but not all accepted, unfortunately - for example Justice Minister/Alliance Party Leader Naomi Long or anybody at all from her party, the Mayor of Belfast and notable others. Naomi Long has unfortunately been no help at all, and quite dismissive all along. It is a shame that notable people didn't accept the invitation to speak when this is something so important and a uniting and concerning factor for the decent people of all communities.

OP posts:
tinplantpot · 14/08/2022 19:18

@BelfastsChild yesterday was Derry Day though. So the unionist politicians will have potentially been at that

BelfastsChild · 14/08/2022 19:28

Good point @tinplantpot - you'd think they could have sent somebody though to show solidarity and represent the many members of their own community who were at the rally in Belfast for Noah. The Alliance Party can't use that excuse.

what a brilliant turnout and the chanting at the feile is amazing! Keep it up! I couldn't make it yesterday but really hope to turn out if there's more. I really hope Fiona gets answers, the whole thing is as dodgy as anything. Someone knows what happened to that poor child.
Thank you @GiveMyHeadPeaceffs . At the moment, support will probably be needed outside the coroners court in Belfast in early September and again in November. More information to follow.

GiveMyHeadPeaceffs · 14/08/2022 20:54

@BelfastsChild keep us informed and I'll come and give support if at all possible.
