Just wondering if worth investing in one

We have these for our boys as they're on the top floor and it's warm up there. They're extremely quiet. I think I paid about £80 each but they're on sale for £50 now!

I have a Dyson fan that was hundreds of pounds. I also have several that I bought from Wickes that were £20 each.

The Wickes ones are noisier but you can use them and watch telly in the same room no problem. The Dyson one is very quiet.

The Wickes ones are really nice and breezy. The Dyson in in comparison is utter, utter crap! I haven't even got it out this year.

Save your money OP.

This is the second thread I've read here this summer that basically says the same thing: Meako great, Dyson mediocre. Shame because I kind of wanted an excuse to buy one! Currently have a tower and a pedestal and the towel is cooler but the pedestal is quieter. We use ours most days and nights. for probably 5 months of the year, so spending a bit is worth it (it's been 30+ since May 😅).

I have one. It’s ok (air is less choppy than a regular fan) but a fan will only do so much, you could buy an aircon machine for the same price.

@Fiddlersgreen it's this one but seems to be out of stock everywhere at the moment www.meaco.com/products/meacofan-1056-pedestal-air-circulator
