House next door to me is a buy to let.
Beginning of June this year new tenants moved in. Very obviously a young couple (early 20s) moving into their first rented place together. We went on holiday shortly after the moved in and haven’t seen much of them since we got back.
About 3 weeks ago (so about 5-6 weeks after moving in) they seemed to disappear, we assumed they were on holiday although I thought it was a bit odd that they seemed to have taken both their cars and also three weeks is a bit unusual for a holiday.
Saturday night we got back about midnight and noticed his car (but not hers) was back on the drive. The next morning his car was gone and the driveway has again been empty since.
There is still stuff in their house (plants and cards on the kitchen windowsill can be seen obviously from the street) but we haven’t seen or heard any sign of people living there for weeks now.
If I bump into either of them I’ll ask them if they’re okay, or the neighbour the next door over I’ll see if they know anything but in the meantime I thought I would see what people think.
Where do you think they have gone?
