Need a bit of pushing from you lot. It's Sunday night and here I am yet again disgusted with myself and determined to do better next week. I've smoked way too much, downed too much booze, ate crap and have just generally been a twat all weekend. I was doing well earlier this year but let some stress get to me over the past couple of months.

I want to stay OFF the fags next week, drink water, eat healthier and do loads of walking. Active, healthy and positive.

Tell me to put down the dirty fire, be good to myself and convince me I can do this!! 🚭

@ItWasJustifiedHeWasACunt My brother gave up immediately after reading Allen Carr's book - link included for the spelling (www.allencarr.com/easyway-stop-smoking/how-to-quit/) - that was quite something to behold, he still loves the smell if someone else is smoking but hasn't touched another one in over a decade.
By comparison, my uncle who smoked for over forty years, also gave up immediately but walked around with an unopened pack for the first year - in case he felt he needed one, he didn't want to be grumpy.
It may take a few attempts to find what works for you, but if you keep track of how much you save, that might help you to stay on the straight and narrow. Good luck.

That won't work. If you don't give up completely, you'll find the weekend extending very quickly till you're back where you started. You really need to go cold turkey.
