@MrsOwainGlyndŵr - that's such a lame answer. People should know how to name the country correctly. No excuses.

I took 'England' to mean 'not too far away. The train only takes 4 hours from London to Glasgow making that much more accessible than places like the south west or parts of the north.

So I don't think suggestions of Cardiff and Edinburgh were unreasonable. It's not like anyone said Inverness!

Honestly. Does no one understand that England isn't the whole country? No wonder the Scots want independence & the Welsh won't be far behind. It's so offensive.

City break in ENGLAND

When people say "England" usually they mean UK, or at the very least GB.

If you really do mean England only OP, then ignore suggestions for Swansea, Cardiff and Edinburgh.

Hahaha, no they don't, unless you want to feed into the 'England is the only country in the UK/GB that matters'.

Bristol without a doubt. Teen would like "cool" city

ZenNudist · 07/08/2022 19:54

Anyway OP, Manchester has so much for a 15 year old. It's my favourite English city.

Could you get a megabus

Cambridge is lovely and may "inspire" your teen 🤷‍♀️ My daughter liked Oxford as well.

London obviously.

Brighton for the beach.

York is gorgeous.

I would avoid Liverpool and Manchester as I found both awful, but I know some people like it there.
