I have loved these threads in the past and also have just had a huge wave of nostalgia while making my DC’s dinner, macaroni cheese thinking back to my own childhood and my mother doing the same for me...

Its Saturday night, I’m 9 years old (almost 10) and I’ve been out on my bike all day with my friends, back in for tea and my mum is making macaroni cheese for with tomato ketchup and crushed ready salted crisps on the top (a tradition I both hold dearly and curse my mother for starting with my own DC)

My Dad is back in the door from the football, working not watching (police) and is showered, bare food with a beer, Paul Simon is the vinyl of choice (though I’d rather be watching TOTP’s)

There is fish or steak on the side, and prep for my parents nice Saturday night dinner, mum is counting sweeties (Saturday sweetie night) into 3 bowls for me and my sisters and we will be banished though to the sitting room with the tv while they eat and enjoy a bottle of wine.

The generation game is on the tv and in my Pj’s under a blanket with a bowl mixed with skittles and rolo’s and I keep here my parents merry and chattering in the next room and all is right in world.

What are you up to?

I'm a student in Brighton. I'm either at the Zap club, a rave, or getting stoned round Paul's house Grin

I'm 19 and InterRailing with friends on a temporary ( paper!) passport. Probably listening to The Stone Roses album on my Walkman as the train goes through Germany.

We spend a week in Berlin and go through Checkpoint Charlie, not knowing the wall would come down in 3 months time. I have a camera with ideas I will take black and white moody shots of East Berlin. ( I did but they were a bit crap Grin)

I’m 25. My DF dies and the end of the month from Cancer. I’m at home with him and the rest of my family, spending my last few weeks with him …. not really believing that he’ll die as he was such a strong man and in my eyes indestructible. I was wrong.

I've been married for a year and two months - am either in the local pub with DH and friends or at our flat (party central quite a lot of the time 😆) or in his old stomping ground Manchester after watching the City match 💙

I'm 17 so putting on a ridiculous amount of make up on, putting my fake id in my bag and heading to the park to drink cider then head to the pub. It was the coolest place in town and l loved going but couldn't afford to buy more than two pints of cider and black so had to get tanked up before we went 🙂

Love it! 😜

I've just had a perm that went very wrong and was very tight and wore a scrunchie at the front of my hair to keep the fringe off my face, my boyfriend hated that hair do so I wore it all the time!! 😜

I wore very short black vest dresses and looked good in them! I also went to Mr Smiths in warrington and ogled the male black dancers on the podium - i had never seen anyone look so cool in my life!!

🤣🤣🤣

Ohh, late 80’s perms! 😂
