Small thing that has improved your day to day life

I’m looking for ideas on how to improve my day to day life. Although there is nothing particularly wrong at the moment, if anything I’ve entered the phase where life is pretty good (established career, dc grown up, no major worries). I feel like I can improve still; I don’t eat particularly well, very rarely exercise, house could be more organised and cleaner, I could take better care of myself - there’s always something that could be better!

What small thing do you do that just makes you feel like you have your life together or makes you happy when you’ve done it?

@42isthemeaning no it's free. There is a premium version you can pay for, which lets you access some content and means you can fast forward and rewind tracks, but I've had the free one a year now and felt no need to pay for premium. There is soooo much content on there available for free

So many good tips here. Mine are:
Quiting alcohol,
Tracking my menstrual cycle,
Putting a timer on my phone use

Consider getting a cleaner.
Mine does 3hrs a week incl. ironing and changing the sheets.
This frees me up to do other things, or nothing at all, depending on my mood.

An alarm app
I have severe anxiety and waking up with loud alarms makes me super anxious in the mornings. This app has more gentle waking as I use the vibrate function and also type some insporation positive quotes (as a challenge before switching off the alarm) so it gives me a much gentler waking up experience

Get a hot tub and relax it it every evening. It makes my life so much happier. And no it does not disturb my neighbours and no it isn't noisy !

Get into a routine of eating and drinking regularly. I set my timer on my phone for a glass of water, snack, meals, everything! Feel much better when well-hydrated and blood sugar stable, but just forget if left up to myself. This one is free as well, it's just a question of using your existing phone and setting a good routine that suits your lifestyle.

IKEA drawer organiser!

It's a miracle for children's drawers, pants in one, socks another.

It's been chaos in the bathroom drawers as well and I had spare draw organisers.
Oh my god the JOY to be able to group shampoos I buy on sale together!
The joy of grouping San pro....hair dye...all sorts.
It looked to so amazing when I first did it every time in bathroom I had a quick look!
It means I can see what I have.

I also recently bought a beautiful posh looking soap dispenser, and on the way home I took it to a refill shop and had it filled with two quid worth of faith in nature hand soap.

It feels like a little luxury on par with aesop or le labo but without the ridiculous price tag

A rumba

Yoga. Deciding and sticking to decision to never again buy cheap rubbish things 'to do'. Not caring about work stuff. Being really grateful for my good health. Getting things ready the night before. Meal planning.

A lovely thread, but it makes me realise just how many bad habits I have and how many things I could be doing which would really help me.
Problem is, I have no motivation to change it all! I like lazing around too much, for example!

Meal planning and batch cooking.
I love opening the freezer or fridge and having it all ready to get cooking. I fibd that if I have to pop into the shop, I will end up getting something else.
Walking daily. It makes me feel great.
Well moisterised skin. Lovely and soft.
Waking up early with time to get ready, have breakfast and look put together.
