Mine is from the Doomsday Episode of Dr Who when Dalek Jast said

Mine is a saying my granny used to say - means it’s all a pile of shit

Because he is and no one can convince me otherwise 😂

I change mine regularly. My UN was chosen because it was available! I am neither funsized nor fabulous.

I chose mine as my job is a HT and that’s how it’s said!

I change mine regularly, and it is usually 2 random words stuck together. I like the word mollusc, and was probably looking at the carpet at the time.

When I was a student in the 1980s I was part of a Chaplaincy interdenominational prayer group. One week we had a visiting speaker whose subject was speaking in tongues. I didn't take to him, he came across as what in those days we called a Male Chauvinist Pig, and smug and a bit creepy with it. He started every utterance "in tongues" with "Kohohohohohla Parasanda ... " When I first came on here it was for the feminism so I chose a name that reminded me of self-satisfied men trying to bamboozle me by talking rubbish. I changed the ending when David Lammy declared that women were like dinosaurs.

That's lovely.

But I have been here on and off for 17 years or more as a serial name changer.

I change my user name almost monthly, so just pick two random words!

I had the same surname for over 12 years but started changing about 5 years ago.

I sometimes do miss having a constant username as now nobody ever "recognises" me on a post.

I change mine regularly so my usernames are based on what’s happened that day usually, but the current one came about after listening to a late 90s/early 00s play list while walking the dog, and Back Once Again came on by Renegade Master. These days, I am more Matron than Master….

I have several names that I use on different boards here, but this is my main one. I used to love the Eric the Penguin cards and also those ones that have scenes made out of vegetables. I decided to combine the two and Eric was born.

Related, but not quite the theme of this thread, I had a major shock some time back when I noticed there is a poster on MN whose username is my real name! Turns out there was a character in a well-known TV series. I was so spooked that I had to message her about it - I seriously wondered if I had been 'outed'. She was so lovely and even offered to change her username, but once she explained the origin, I was very happy for her to continue. I still get a little jolt when I see it though!

It's a line from a Stereophonics song. Also, I like handbags.
