Ok what do the scores mean? Fully in - but if a word scores higher - does that mean its closer to correct? And what is 'closer' - the right letters - or somehow linked if that makes sense?

The higher the score, the closer the word is semantically... so a word that can be used in a similar context. Usually synonyms and antonyms but sometimes different forms of the same word. The top 1000 words get a rating as well.

@piglut the XX.XX scores are how close (out of 100) your guess is semantically to the target.
The 1-999 number shows how far up the top 1000 closest words your guess is (999 is closest).
The 🧊, 🔥🥵 etc show how "hot" your guess is. The hotter the better.

The ❓at the top of the Cemantle page explains it better.
